Well, since Ronald McDonald's purpose is to help Mickey D's sell more billions of burgers, no.

I occasionally get a burger and fries from McDonald's. While it's not my favorite burger it isn't bad, and you won't get fat or acne if you are sensible about what you eat and how much you eat.

Needless to say, I don't supersize my order there or anywhere else, and I have been known to throw away uneaten portions.

I do think McDonald's deserves some of the criticism it gets for encouraging youngsters to eat less wisely than they might, but the real responsibility for diet and life habits belongs to the parents of those kids and I don't think blaming Ronald is the right approach.

Personally I prefer either Burger King or Whataburger and sometimes Sonic for burgers, but I'll sometimes stop at the Golden Arches if I'm in a hurry.
