find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

A lot of people have a bit of extra weight at 13. Be sure you get at least 30 minutes of rigorous exercise per day, and stay far away from soda and refined sugar. You will start to get more energy within a week or so. Once you do, start adding some light weights (lifting a backpack full of books or cans of food works if you don't have weights) to help tone your muscles.

You are young, your body cannot cope with an extreme and quick mathod of loosing weight, you will fall ill. You must have a complete change in lifestyle. Change your eating habits. Go out and enjoy demanding sports.

You can change all of this, just change a few things for the long-term, and you'l see results by the time you're 16, 17, 18 yrs old.

Oh my gosh!! Who told you to lose weight? That sounds like a very good weight for someone who is 5"4' and 13 years old. If you are concerned about your health just in general, drink more water, eat healthy, and get moving. You don't want to ever lose weight quick, it is bad for your health and it puts you at higher risk to put the weight back on and then some.
I would talk to your doctor before you decide you need to lose weight. Just eat healthy(ya know, eat your fruits and veggies and limit your fat and sugar intake), drink tons of water(instead of soda pop and juice), and move(go for walks, dance, ride a bike, anything that will get your heart rate up for at least 15 min a day).

* when they say limit your suger, they are talking about refined sugers like the stuff you find in candy, cake, and soda pop, not the sugers you find in fruits and not the carbs you find in breads and pasta's(but stick with your whole grain stuff)

You are young so you likely just have a bit of "baby fat". I wouldn't worry about losing weight "quick" because quick to come off is usually quick to come back on.

Some good tips for losing weight is adding veggies to your diet as well as fiber. Try to eat foods that are high in fiber. Check the nutritional labels on boxes and packages for the fiber count. The more grams the better. Things that are high in fiber tend to be whole grain like wheat pasta, bran cereal, beans. Adding fiber to your diet will help you lose weight and keep it off.

assorted human beings will inform you to "consume much less" - now that truly does not make plenty experience to me. i does no longer inform you to respire much less or drink much less water. Now could I? What you may desire to do is exchange what you consume. I recommend which you consume all the clean vegetables/end result, beans, total grains you may desire to in all possibility desire - consume them till you're no longer any further hungry. Oh, and throw in some nuts and seeds too. consume total meals - occasion: total wheat pasta=reliable; Captain Crunch=undesirable. If it has greater beneficial than in basic terms some, few ingredients do no longer consume it!! carry out a little exciting, reasonable workout. stroll with a chum, shoot some hoops, do some laps interior the pool, take your bike for a spin around the community, etc. Did you be conscious that it would be exciting?? no count if it is not exciting you will no longer persist with it - so which you won't be able to prevail interior the long-term. in case you do as I recommend for one month, you would be completely shocked at how reliable you sense and at how plenty greater effective you will look. you will shed weight gradually and it will stay off. I promise - bypass my heart and desire to die!! stay far flung from all the "weight loss software" pills, potions and creams. the only element they'll make lighter is your wallet!! you're a organic being, meant to consume and workout in a organic way. stick to my suggestion and you will thank me later - for something of your existence in case you incredibly, incredibly stick to it. reliable success!

You're normal weight for that height. Maybe you should just exercise in order to firm up. Cut out junk food. Those are just healthy measures. Don't do any crash diets. You'll mess up your metabolism and spend the rest of your life fighting with your weight. You'll lose, then gain it back with a couple extra pounds.... again and again..

At that young of an age you don't want to mess with your metabolic rate because that will be screwed for the rest of your life. Remember muscle weighs more than fat, so you may just be more muscular and hav eless fat. My suggestion would to not change anything with your eating habits but maybe take the stairs in buildings, walk, ride a bike....
