No they are very low quality foods, especailly Beneful. It is full of grains which dogs do not need or process well.

I have 2 huskys and a german sheperd, I never did trust pet food companies since my Dad worked in one. I know what garbage they put into those supposedly delicious and healthy food for your dogs. I am a firm believer and practice feeding my dogs a BARF diet or bones and raw food or biologically appropriate raw food for dogs and cats. My dogs are healthy, great teeth all white and no bad breath , my vet bills are almost nill and I spend almost as much as my friends do for kibble or the regular pet company food. A friend of mine lost her dog and cat to a pet food recall sometime ago and I saw how hard she took it. I dont look over my shoulders with BARF and for the past 7 years my dogs are healthy and energetic. you can see it in the way they move and in their eyes. the internet is such a tool that if you havent checked out BARF diets for dogs and cats then your probably not trying to find the best for you pets. check it out and see if it is something you would want to try and about salmonella and ecolli....havent had any incidents in my house since I take the same precaution as I do whenever I prepare meals for my family. Good Luck

I don't feed my dog anything that has corn, by-products, meals, ect... I look for natural ingredients that I would eat myself. I don't want to shorten her life because I don't want to spend a bit more for better food. I also don't think it's a good idea to get them used to eating just 1 brand of food.
A guy I work with a guy that wouldn't feed his cat anything but Iams {yuck!} canned cat food, when they had that recall he had a really hard time getting her to eat anything else. He did have some that was on the list but she didn't get sick.
I do also give her people. I will cut up cooked meat add some white rice, carrots, peas, green beans, gravy or broth and a bit of cheese. She loves it! She also loves fruit and I use that and beef jerky instead of the regular dog treats they sell. I have a "diaper bag" that I call my doggie bag and I have dehydrated fruit in there and take it every where with us. People think I'm nuts feeding my dog fruit. Most people don't think dogs eat anything but meat. DUH!

Never heard of Nutrience, but Beneful is definitely not ''high quality''.
