i literally lost it all. in the past year i basically lost everyhting: lost my gf where we've been dating for 3 years, lost all my friends due to a false rumor, everyone in my family hates me, and constantly reminded of the past of the things ive done wrong. i feel like Job in the Bible. wheenver i pray at night i tell myself in the very beginning that im not even worthy to talk to the Lord and that he'll just ignore for all the things ive done, so i just didnt pray and i havent prayed for months. right now my life is still rockbottom. tell me why should i come back to the Lord after following Him and then just losing everyhitng? was this just to learn a lesson?. o and ive been going to a christian private school all my life so verses could help.

I am so sorry for this time of struggle. God does not promise that you will not have challenges and that being a Christian will not be hard. Paul spent most of his later years in jail, Stephen was stoned to death in fact most of the apostles died for their faith. I would read about some of the challenges that Paul had in the New Testament, past the first four gospels. God will not give you challenges that you cannot overcome. HE does have a plan for you even though you don't know what it is. Find a Christian radio station and listen to it. Do not let Satan lie to you, you have a purpose. God put you here for a reason and even though it seems like that reason has become unclear, if you trust and have faith He will help you through this.

Don't let others put you down either for past transgressions, you are a son of God a new creation. Turn from your past sins and follow Him. He will guide you. Read Romans Chapter 8, the word "sonship" in verse 15, or but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with GROANS that words cannot express.

Don't give up your faith over present trials. God loves you and always will. He may just be guiding you to turn to Him for what you need not to the world or a girlfriend or anything else.

In truth I think you need to talk to someone. It sounds more like you lost faith in your self, ask God tonight to help you help your self. That may even mean talking to someone like a councilor in your school. When you need to pray the most is when you feel the least like praying. Start tonight by having a long talk with the lord and I am sure he will send you a feeling that things your going through is only for a moment and it will be better soon. Try talking to the lord just listen with your heart not your ears you will feel his help. You know God has directed your thoughts when you feel good about a decision that comes to mind and it agrees with all you have learned from the Bible. If thoughts come into your mind that disagree with the teachings in the bible they are from the Devil not God.

Sometimes we have to go through "hell" to appreciate the things we have, or see the wrong that we have done to others. Sometimes when things like that happen, we realize that God has put us here for a higher purpose. Sometimes things have to happen like that before our life can improve. Sometimes it is just satan trying to cause you to lose your faith in God. Sounds like you may be giving in.

First, try to help someone less fortunate than you. You will never know the joy it brings until you do it. Then begin praying for guidance.

Remember that God never gives us more burdens than we can handle. We become stronger people as we experience these trials and tribulations. That strenght helps us to find the light at the end of the tunnel.

It is hard for me to remember just how many times I have been though experiences that I wondered "Why me?". Something good always came for them. It might be something I learned, a better job, a better home, a better relationship, etc...

I hope that I have helped. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

This is a real example of Jesus who says in His Word that He is always with you and will never forsake you, when people let you down. Sounds like you need different friends and gf that love you unconditionally. Your family you cannot change, but you can pray for them and a healing in family relations. If there's anything you've done wrong to them, regardless what they've done to you, you need to ask them for forgiveness and let God heal you. If you are a true christian, God will use all this for your good and His glory. Continue to lean on God thru Jesus and allow Him to work thru you His plans. The Lord knows what is best for us more than we do. Maybe these are trials. Stay true to The Lord. And look up to The Lord because He is always looking down at you. Trust that He is going thru this with you and will give you strength to get thru this if you pray to Him. Let go and let God.

Just remember, "The son of God hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?"

My life has literally been a living nightmare the last few months, yet I have only been discouraged when I have lost my faith in God momentarily, but after prayers and studying I have become closer to Him than every before. I know, and I mean I really know, that He loves us, and if we trust in Him, He will guide us and comfort us. Someone once told me that when we feel like praying the least is when we need to pray the most. I have discovered that to be so true in my own life.

Life has it's low points..But put it all in perspective..You yes, have been thru trials, lost a g/f ( at least she did not die) ,
Have had friends (who must of not been too good of friends) turn their backs on you , You are going thru a difficult family time ( doubt very highly that they all HATE you) ...
God is there and he is listening. You are a child of God. He would not want you to suffer. Al that we go thru is God's will.
Try to embrace your life and see it as a new begining to set foot on the path that you are destin for. A path that will direct you through your life, by the shining light of the Lord.
Remember- Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Keep your faith, I pray. God's glory is upon you.
Life is a mystery- though through Christ our Lord- All things will be revealed.

Sorry this is so long, I don't usually write long answers.

Learn from Job. He lost everything except his faith in God. Even when his friends turned against him, he refused to curse God or even blame God. Eventually, God returned everything to him and more than he had had.

Many times we misunderstand His purposes in our life. God never promised that our lives would be easy, He promised that He would always be with us, and that our difficulties would become blessings to us through Him.

For example, I prayed for patience. My answer was to have difficult experiences that tried my patience. But when they were done, I had become more patient. I now praise God for those hard times.

If we ever feel far away from God, we are the ones who have moved. He is always near and will help you, but you must not try to tell Him what to do with your life. You must ask what He wants you to do. And then do it! Then the peace will come back into your life.

I'm sorry to hear you're having a rough time. I think we all feel like that at some point in our lives. But honestly, I think God allows us to suffer so that we can be better people. Those who don't suffer or who are constantly pampered throughout their lives are usually spoiled beings with a very shallow understanding and are usually not very fun to be around.

Also, remember, Christ suffered all things for us, including all of our own pain. I think he merits some loyalty from us. Our suffering helps us to understand the tiniest bit of what he went through. Keep the faith. Be strong.

One example I like to think of when I feel like Job is actually written by Job himself. Remember that he not only suffered, he kept the faith throughout it all. That is what made him an extraordinary man, not the fact that he suffered. Here's something he said in regards to his suffering:
Job 23:10
But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

We all have dross which needs to be purified. The fire which does the purifying is our trials. That is how we become as gold; it is how we become something of value and something that is precious.

You can lost your gf, and your friendsbut do not lost your faith in God,because God has created you.You must try hard to explain clearly the false rumor to your gf,friends and family with a strong evidence or witness. You must keep loving the persons who hate you.If you have done wrong please ask for forgiveness to the related persons and to God..You must always pray to God.God has given you a testing for your faith. If you gave up and despaired that you failed and not passed. If you still believe in God and pray to God and also you maintain a good relation with your family and friends that is the evidence you win..You must learn a lesson and be smart.
