How does it make you feel as a skeptical non-believing atheist, that the God of Abraham, whom you say does not even exist, will actually get the last word in on you?

For thousands of years Gods words and Gods will has been alive in the hearts, minds and deeds of countless multitudes of men. I see this trend continuing.

Just think of all the scoffers and skeptics that have come and gone, yet God remains.

After all, a man named Niche once said “God is dead”; soon after God said “Niche is dead” and so will be the case with you.

How do really feel about the fact that a made up God is actually going to out live you?

Yes I know Nietzsche and his REAL quote. That’s not the point.

But seriously, I love you. You’re all wonderful human beings.

Btw- when the rapture comes, you can have my car.

Well... atheist means they don't believe in God.
So I'm guessing... they don't believe God will out live them.
Because they don't believe He exists.

(I'm Christian, though.)

There are a lot of dead gods out there that no one worships anymore.

To name a few:

Moloch.
Baal.
Zeus.
Hera.
Jupiter.
Odin.
Bast.
Ra.
Inanna.

Also, the philosopher's name was NIETZSCHE, not "Niche"?! The fact that Friedrich Nietzsche, like all human beings, eventually died does not make his opinions wrong. It's a simple biological truism that ALL living creatures must eventually die.

The fact that a religion will outlive me does not mean that I have to believe in it. By your own logic, the fact that I am now older than 33 (and thus have outlived Jesus Christ) would make my opinion more important than his. Also, by your own logic, since Buddhism predates Christianity by 500 years, and Judaism predates Christianity by over a thousand years, both of those religions are more valid than Christianity.

No, the fallacy from common practice doesn't cut it, kid. Folks used to think the earth was flat, too.

I don't exactly consider myself an atheist, but I'll take a shot at this one. It's people like you who convince me more than a lot of things that Christians have no idea what they are talking about.

Niche? It's N-i-e-t-z-s-c-h-e, and he was at least a thousand times more profound than people like you. Try cracking a book for once in your life.

Honestly, this is one of the dumbest Christian rants I've read on YA or anywhere in a long time. I'm sure someone like you has found "the truth" where other brilliant, hard-searching people have not for thousands of years.

If you had bothered to actually READ Nietzsche's full remarks, the quote is, "God is dead, and we have killed him." He MEANT that nobody put anything real into the idea of God, everyone was just going through the motions of religion in his day. I highly advise a little education on this before trying to use it as an argument.

There are many stories, legends, symbols and metaphors that were here before me, and will be here long afterwards. I don't care. I'm not competing with them.

This may surprise you, but I actually don't feel that God is going to get the last word.
Did you not think that when you asked atheists a question on how they felt about God, you were being a little silly? And more than a little arrogant?

I feel really great today!

Just think of all the believers that have come and gone, yet non-belief in God remains and flourishes!
I am giddy with the thought of it.

You cite no "fact" only your belief that a "God" is going to out live me or anyone else.

And BTW it is not Niche; its Nietchze.

Actually, I feel quite happy. Thanks for asking.

But, you did say that it is a "made up God" that is going to outlive us.

If it is a "made up God" then that God exists only in the mind of the person who made it up and that person is also a but mere mortal who will be outlived by many others.

Don't worry, just enjoy life, be happy and don't hurt anyone or wish harm to anbody.

Well, that is your opinion. Obviously, my opinion is that it is BS. I don't believe in god, so he can't very well outlive me, can he? Personally, I think it is pretty sad that you guys all kow-tow to someone who doesn't exist and have nothing better to do than shake your finger at and condemn those smart enough to realize it.
When you start out with a faulty premise, your conclusion is always wrong.

I've heard many compelling arguments in favor of the existence of God, but yours falls short. I think if you didn't resort to bad bumper sticker philosophy, you might actually have a shot at intelligent discourse. It is possible for men of intellect and knowledge to come to the conclusion that God does exist, but that conclusion is not had by insults and mockery.

All religions claim that theirs is right. Do you have any convincing evidence to demonstrate that yours is the only correct one? As far as Nietzsche (learn to spell his name BTW) is concerned, you should read carefully what he says right after that line before you judge. But you probably haven’t’ read his works anyway, you’re just quoting what you’ve seen somewhere.
