Earlier today someone posted a joke about Christans, I posted the same joke using Atheits and got reported.
Why is it OK to for one group to say what they please, but when we respond we get reported.
I don't know how this works, is this normal? Is that what everybody does to each other?
I have seen a lot worse posted on here and the person didn't get reported.
I am still going to try to help people who are searching for answers.
I just want to know how often this happens.

I'm not mad.
I wanted to know how often this happens.
I have seen cursing, sexual comments, offensive comments made and not just against Christians against other groups also. and the person wasn't reported.

It happens very often. What happened was that evidently satan got into someone and they reported your question as abuse and it was removed by yahoo answers. While satan did not have them to remove the jesture against Christians. Are you surprised? Jesus told us it would happen while He was on earth. He said the world would hate us because it first hated Him. Be of good cheer and continue to do His will. May God Bless U.

One, you have no idea who reported it. For alll you know, it could have been a christian who doesn't think anyone should be made fun of. Two, atheists and christians and all the other religions report each other all the time. You need a thicker skin if you are going to hang out here. Three, you don't know if the other person got reported or not. He or she could be off sulking about it right now, just like you.

Egad.
There are SO many variables in things like this.
Let's look at just a few.
How many people here read every single darned question? (and during what time period? And - every day? Every other day? Twice a week?)
How many people read the same KINDS of questions every day, or does their mood influence which ones they read on any given day?
How many people here only read questions pertaining to their own religion or spiritual path or lack thereof?
**********
Any or all of these (and MANY MORE) variables can account for some posts/questions/jokes/comments getting reported sometimes while similar ones are not.
There are FAR too many variables for anyone to make any meaningful evaluations on this.
Honestly.

I have been on here for quite awhile and very few of the atheists on here would have reported you, it was most likely one of the trolls. There are some on here that feel the need to report people who don't agree with them, I've had legitimate questions reported but made some snide remarks that no one cared about. Yahoo keeps promising that they are working on the trolls but they seem to do it anyway.

I've done that before by rephrasing an atheist's own post, but never as a separate question. I always do it within the body of the original post, and to date, no one has reported me. I guess that would be too blatant of a double standard if they deleted my reply but not the "joke" that started it.
Next time, don't post the rephrased question separately. Just include it as a reply to the original joke. It may save you a Violation notice or a deletion.

I've been reported at least a dozen times by Christians, so it goes both ways, I can take any joke, and something tells me yours was very unoffensive.
But I think it's fair that everyone gets reported, or no one does, not half way.

It certainly seems to be unfar, but then again, this site is very Christian biased.
And, I've certainly seen lots of things posted by Christians that are offensive to people of other faiths.
Don't be angry or feel annoyed, but have pity on those who are making those statements for they are ignorant.

It's Biblical. As the end of days grows nearer, Christians will be persecuted more and more. Even now, it isn't "politically correct" to be a Christian, and while we are often the brunt of others' jokes and criticisms, Christians are expected to turn the other cheek and not defend themselves against the viciousness of others. Sad, but it will get worse. (Actually, I have turned my last cheek, which the mean people may sweetly kiss.)

don't be mad. god is testing you. jk... actually, it is pretty messed up. i consider myself on the line between atheist and agnostic, so yes i'll admit it is rude. what was the joke btw? what happens when you get reported?
please note, i did not dodge the issue by saying something to the effect of, "oh well, christians do this and that..."

I would never report another person for anything Have you ever saw what a list of things you have to go through. then you have to type down a reason and all it just isn't worth the trouble. The reason they reported you is because you stole the joke instead of using one of your own.
