I find it amazing that otherwise rational people can believe the things that Mormonism teaches. Of course, the same goes for all the other branches of Christianity.

I don't know anything about the Mormans, except the radicals the show on tv, and of course they don't represent everybody.
The few Mormans I've met have been very nice, and one thing I've heard is that they are very community orriented, if for example, one of there members houses burns down, they'll rally together to help out the family and get them a new house.

I try not to=another culture called them communists after learning their ways of slavery. They refuse to help anyone thats not a morman and for a fact of my own experience the old men in church will put their hands on any young female and she has to condone it. As a female slave morman your taught young to endure the touching of old morman men.

I am LDS, and I find the faith to be, quite honestly, the faith that makes the most sense when all things are considered. I think most of the feelings against LDS church members are spawned by honest ignorance and a misunderstanding of what we believe. Many of our beliefs taken out of context seem far fetched and irrational, yet when they are understood as a whole, they make perfect sense. i have received a witness of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from the Holy Ghost as well, and this is what my testimony is based on.
To those who may disagree with my beliefs, I encourage you to then judge me and other Mormons by our actions. I think that, save it be in rare instances, Mormons strive to treat everyone well. The LDS church does SO much to help people of our own fath and people who are not of our faith. I think the works of the LDS church are hard to condemn.

First it's Mormon. With a second O. We are commonly called Mormons because of our belief in the Book of Mormon...we also believe in the Bible...we read it. We teach it. We love it.
For the most part we try to be good people and do good works. We try to give aid and succor to the suffering. We believe in compassionate service and in comforting those who stand in need of comfort.
You are most definately going to get a lot of really "interesting" answers to this question. If you are really wanting to know what we believe, check out the Church's website.
I guess a more important question would be "What do YOU think of the Mormon faith?"
EDIT:
Jay, you're not just wrong, you're sick and wrong and a total pervert!
EDIT:
Connie, you are not talking about us, because we believe all this. We teach it. Jesus Christ is the centre of our faith, our docterine, our beliefs and our lives.

I'm LDS and I love all the teachings of the church....it's a beautiful blueprint for a very good family life, however, some members that go every Sunday do not seem to remember the verse, love thy neighbor as a lot of them do seem intolerant....my husband always reminds me that it is the same in all churches.

The Mormon church believes in a God who is not the Christian God (not the God of the Bible), and in a Jesus who is not the Christian Jesus (not the Jesus of the Bible).
The Mormon God is a created being, who has a father and mother in heaven, grand parents, many wives etc. The Christian God is none of the above. The Mormon God was once a man on a planet, and he evolved into God by obedience to the Mormon Gospel.
The Christian God (based on what the Bible teaches) is none of these things (mentioned above).
The Mormon Jesus is a created being who did not exist for ever. And he is the literal blood-brother of Satan. The Mormon Jesus was literally born (in heaven) to a Heavenly mother. And on earth, the Mormon Jesus was born as the result of sexual intercourse between the Mormon God and Mary.
The Christian Jesus (based on the Bible) is none of the above and is who I believe to be the way, the truth and the life.

Any faith that denies Jesus as the Son of God who died, was buried and Resurrected for our sins so that we may live is a cult and will not get us into Heaven. The Word of God says the only way to God is thru His Son, Jesus Christ. Satan uses other religions to steer us away from the Truth, the Way and the Life = Jesus who is the Christ. Please read the christian bible. May Jesus the Christ be with you.
