Although it is more common outside the United States, two unbaptized persons who are progressing toward baptism as Jehovah's Witnesses may qualify to be married in a Kingdom Hall by a congregation elder (JWs see w1982 3/15 p31). Local elders are in the best position to help the engaged persons to understand this unique situation, as well as any local laws which may also be involved.

I waited to marry my husband until after we were baptized because I didn't want to make a commitment to him unless he made a solid commitment to serve Jehovah. I knew what I wanted out of life, so I needed be sure of his intentions. Due to the biblical counsel to 'marry only in the Lord', it would (probably) have been improper for an elder to marry me and my fiance before our baptism if we hadn't made that commitment to Jehovah. We married in the Kingdom Hall and are serving Jehovah together still 9 years later.
You both need to consider the seriousness of a lifelong commitment to each other and to Jehovah. Talking about these matters with the brother and sister you're studying with would be very beneficial since 'there is accomplishment in the multitude of counselors'. (Proverbs 15:22) I hope you both make the best decision anyone can make- to serve Jehovah forever! :D

Why are you asking a question like that in an open forum where you could get the wrong advice? Any questions that you need answered correctly should be done by the person you are studying with or the elders in your congregation. Posing your question on Yahoo Answers is a bad idea.

Go ask an ELDER! They will probably talk you into waiting anyway, until you are both for sure "pledged and devoted" to the organization first.

Hi, you really need to ask the Elder who you would want to have officiating. It, ultimately is his choice.

you know i was a jehovah witness from birth to my early teens, and i dont remember them partaking in baptism. but now i am a follower of Jesus. turn to Jesus and he will help you along your path.update;;;;; well i talked to my mother and she said they do baptize but not like they way the bible does, just to be a member of the witnesses. i dunno, but that is really not my point anyway, even though it is pretty serious. i do like how the witnesses for the most part are modest and serious, i wish more christians could be like that. and i am leary of some of the holidays, what is behind them. i dont want to be part of this world, i want to be a true christian. i am learning as i go. but i still dont understand how the witnesses dont believe in Jesus the way the bible says is true, the whole bible points to Him??? anyway peace to you all
