If this is the most you can afford, then this Camera will get you by until you can save up $200-$250 for a better camera (like the Canon Powershot A710 IS).

The max resolution of photos on this camera is 1024x768 ... you can print 4x6 size with it ok with no cropping. For web and email use it will be good. It should store between 50 and 75 photo's (could not find specs), and no there is no way of storing more photo's on this.

If you don't already have a digital camera, and you want to get started and you basically have no money to work with, then I say, go for it, learn all you can on it, take many photo's, and save up $20-25 a month (or as much as you can), then look into a better camera in 8-12 months.

If there is anyway at all that you can spend $200 now, it would be well worth your while to do so, on a Canon or similar, that will grow with you and last you for years to come.

This Argus camera is similar to a different brand camera I bought back in 1998 ... just to give you an idea of where it's technology is. Current cameras have 6-10 megapixels, use memory cards, and are all around better in quality and usability.

People will say go for higher megapixels, but that should NOT be your main selling point. You should also look at the quality of the lens, and if you really want to investigate the sensor size. There are cameras out there with high mega pixel (8) but the sensor is too small. That will create "grainy" pics. I have a 5mp canon S2IS, and a panasonic LC 50 (3.2 megapixel). The panasonic is a small pocket camera with a Leica lens. That camera has outperformed quite a few pocket cameras with higher megapixels. So, look for quality just not megapixels. I can't tell you what camera is best for you, but Sony has a good lens (Zeius), Panasonic has (Leica). Both take really good pics.
