Sorry the insults abound. There is no factual evidence, all people have is an inner knowing (something that resonates within themselves) that there is something more or greater than this reality.

I can't prove it. but i believe it. why? because of my few in depth studies of the bible. It is written that faith comes in knowing God's word/work. and it is true. In these end of this age times i see all these prophesies come true. What are they? I will list some but don't expect me to document where they are in scripture . I am too old and tired to look them up but i am sure the atheist would love to debunk them for you.
1. jerimiah said that god would scatter the jew to the four winds. world war two.
2. that he would bring back the jews.....returned to a nation/state in 1948. Wings of eagles org is still bring them back to this day.
3. God promised the Jew that he would return all their gold.
A few years back the Jews sued the swiss banks demanding all the gold and monies that the germans had put in the swiss banks . They were successful.
4. God promised the jew they would get back their treasures.
These were paintings ,jewlery, different valuables. successful
5. that iraq would plunder kuwait. It said kuwait would have to cry for help from the powerful country that had no fences for borders , the nation that was divided by three rivers. Now who the hell else would that be besides the U.S.A?
5. It also told of the hurricane that devistated the New Orleans
area.
6. You will see more hurricans more often . Other natural disaster more often . These don't even count the ones that have happened before 1948 . If honestly investigated you will see that these things were predicted by the bible. Many more have happened as the bible predicted and many more will happen as the bible predicts. I also believe the bible is god's
word be cause man is not capable of orchestrating a book as
complex as the bible is. By the way yes you can think it even if you can't prove it. Bless you.

Popular argument. Thank you for being unbiased.
I know what you mean. I have a friend who doesn't have "beliefs," but a lot of "thoughts." It's the radicals that make everything into absolutes, and won't allow people to be in the "I don't know for sure, but here's what things kinda point toward" category.
Here's a few reasons people come to absolute conclusions that God exists:
1. You can "just know." People compare it to just knowing that the number 2 exists, and that 2 plus 2 is 4. It's like that for them.
2. You can be scared into "knowing" God exists. You don't want to go to hell (if it exists) so you believe in God.
3. You've been given special attention by God or believers, and through many subtle hints/evidences/whatever, it has come to your attention in such a way that it is practically the same as proof.
There's probably more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head, and it's pretty late at night here. Hope this helps.

Let us just open up a little bit and think what is God? If you think God is a person (like Jesus or others) that have a form, then you could research if God exists or not.. however, I believe that God is not a person but a form of force that is unknown and a cause of everything. of course this can be personified into a human form. That being the case, God is a product of our faith and belief. God exists in many forms like.. love or humanity, kindness.. basically all good things in the universe is a form of God. It would be meaningless to say that someone loves God and has infinite faith in him but does not care about humanity or has love towards his fellow humanbeings.. So I believe that God does exist in the form of little good things in life.. and as long as we keep these alive,, we will be a part of God ourselves and it requires no further proof.
In short.. look for the God within you rather than outside .. and you will find it.. that itself is the proof

All of the philosophical arguments I've ever heard arguing for or against the existence of God are circular or flawed in some other way. So, in short, no, you're not missing anything. There is no real way to prove or disprove God's existence from a logical point of view.
It's simply a question of belief, and belief does not require logical proof.

Hi Gorgeous,
to simply answer your question...of course it is possible to think there is a God and know it cannot be proved. Millions of believers across the world live daily with that thought.
Of course many would say that the proof is all around you, the grass, the sky, the animals, the sunshine, etc.
It is all in the way you look at things. Most religions have, as the core of their belief the word 'faith'. meaning you accept the teachings of your particular belief without the need for 'proof'.
So there you are, simple and (for me anyway) short!
Cheers,

If you are looking for physical proof of a spiritual God, you are wasting your time. He cannot be proven via the scientific method. Science is the wrong test. It's like using the wrong tools- and because the tool cannot measure properly...the object doesn't exist. NO! It's just the wrong tool for measuring an immeasurable entity.
I know you are not sure about God right now. But for me I measure God by my faith that is made strong by me watching him guide me and give me peace day by day. There is a lot more, but that's my answer.

You can't prove he does, you can only see the evidence. Until recently I was an atheist, I've been watching the science channels on TV, and their is just WAY to many "coincidences" for me to believe there is not some kind of higher intelligence, organized religion still gives me the willies, but I believe their is something out there.

If you are willing to have only enough faith to hope to believe, God will make Himself known to you.
There is no greater evidence than when God, through his Holy Spirit, communicates directly to your heart and mind that He is real.
But here is a warning: If you do not act on what you learn from Him, your faith will be weakened instead of strengthened.
My opinion is that many ex-Christian atheists were unwilling to DO after they learned about God, and then lost the memory of the sweet experience of communicating with Him.

I have a box... and in that box I have placed something (a picture, trinket, note, etc.) every time God has proven Himself real to me. I used to be an atheist, and He PROVED it to me. My friend used to be an atheist... I got out my box, and went through each thing in it, told her the story and how God proved Himself to me through that story. She is now a Christian. ...Ive had the box for a year. and you know what? I need a bigger box.
People do not see Him, because they do not have faith in Him, they do not believe. And because they do not believe, they do not see Him, so they dont believe, so they dont see Him.
Tell you what... ask Him to show Himself to you. Believe Him for six months, look for miracles in your life and when He comes through for you... write it down, take a picture, store it away.
Let me tell you a story:
A man was in a wicked rush and needed a parking spot.
The man said "God I dont believe in you, but if you will give me a parking spot, then I will believe and I will change."
Just then a car right in front of him backed out and the parking spot right next to the door was available for him to park in. You know what he said? "Nevermind God, I found one."
Ask yourself how many people pray for a miracle, for success, for "fill-in-the-blank." Then it happens, and they're like "YAY, look what I did."
So give Him a shot, just for 6 months. Find a good church (I would recommend a purpose driven one, but everyone will have something different to recommend.) and go every Sunday for six months. Go to their small groups (life group, home team, whatever they call it) for six months.
If you do this, I guarentee your life will never ever be the same.
God will show you He is real. To you. He is not interested in proving it to the world, He is interested in YOUR heart, in YOUR spirit, and proving it to YOU on an individual basis. He is, after all, a relational God, and is more concerned about His relationship with you than anything else. So give Him an honest chance, ask Him to show Himself to you, and keep your eyes and heart open.
And then you'll be needing a bigger box.

In this situation the best and only thing you can do is go with what you want...but its your faith that takes you far in life. Trusting in God when you and "really" see him. He really is everywhere and there is proof if you look at the lives of people that have given their life to christ i know in my life i see God just by how much i have changed since i dedicated my life too him. But have Faith and believe he is there! He does amazing things!
