An interesting question. I, personally do not believe that if there is a being that is all powerful, all knowing, and the master of all things, that such being would require anyone's faith. The need to have others pay homage to you is a flaw of human nature; an unsatisfied power need. If the Heavenly Father requires a show of faith i his power, abilities, etc., then He is possessed of human-like flaws. If He is truly G-d then He should have no requirement of faith. HOWEVER, the logic of the Almighty may transcend any logic that we are capable of, thus making my argument invalid.

Firstly, you can see your earthly father, that already rules out the "faith requirement". But I could tell that that's not really your point, since it's just an analogy.
I feel that you are frustrated with prayers. I know prayer life could go dry sometimes. How sometimes (or most of the time) you feel like you're talking/pleading to the air. But He will answer when the time is right. I don't even know if I have the "right" answer for you, but thing is, I feel for your situation and I wish with all my heart that you would believe. Faith makes the impossible to be possible. The disillusioned, clear-minded.
There is a reason for everything. Why we're here. He alone knows the answer. Here's an analogy of mine:
You see an army of ant. A water drops into their group, and they're all swimming for dear life, trying to get free. What would you do if you can actually hear them cry out in these words, "Help me! Help me!"
Some ants paddle with all their might to get free, some hang on to their comrades, while some lay still, not doing anything and ready to give up. Which one will you save first? Which one, in your opinion, would impress you? Which one saddens you?
Sometimes I think of God that way. Sometimes, he stayed back and resisted the urge to reach out a hand to help, 'cos he wants to see us grow stronger in faith and in our daily lives, be it a big or small issue.
God bless you.

Your Heavenly father isn't your father like you think....yea sure, he created you but not with sex cells. He created humanity in which your ancestors were created in and over centuries and centuries and centuries in time, your parents just so happened to meet and had you...all out of chance. Your earthly father just helped reproduce you...humanity is a whole different story...one your mind can't even comprehend it's so deep...if I could answer this question, I'd be able to answer the biggest question of life...."what's it all mean?" We might as well give up on that because nobody has the mind capacity to withstand all the knowledge life, energy, creation, God, the Universe holds.....just don't worry about it because you'll never know as long as you're on this earth.

Oh, you missed His first real visit that is told in His Word? Well, I hope you don't miss His next real visit when Jesus comes for His children in the Rapture to take us home in Heaven after giving us resurrected (new and improved) bodies. Because if you do, you will be here thru the Tribulation when Judgements are poured out on earth to cleanse this earth. This Rapture is imminent (could happen at any time). Your earthly father can't save you from your sins, whereas your heavenly Father can and did thru His Son Jesus's death on the cross. And yes, this requires Faith. So, get on board the christian faith so you don't miss Jesus's next real visit should it happen in your lifetime!!

I can tell by your question that you are not a believer but I will try to answer it anyway. For believers, God does come for a visit. In fact, God is with us every day, every step through the holy spirit. I know you don't buy it, but you asked and I have answered the best way I know how. From experience. I can assure you, that faith is only required until you accept Christ as your savior. Once that is done, you will not be required to live only by faith alone. You will know.

The problem is He is talking with you all the time. It is just your transmitter that is not working. One has to learn how to see and hear God through the self realized souls. (one who already has seen and heard) then you will be able to understand what He is saying. He is not playing a trick it is your inability to understand. If a child is crying and his mother is right there comforting him is it the mothers fault that the child is not aware of it. One has to learn how to be aware (conscious of God) for more info go to harekrishnatemple.c Read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada- tells how to get in touch immediately. But if one does not want to believe then God says OK I'm not here. He just fulfills your desire.

he already did. His name was Jesus, and he will come again very very soon. The real question is if your ready for him to come? Would you be ready if he returned tonight, to take you home to heaven? When he returns he will be like a thief in the night. Stop acting like a child saying "Why do I have to? You can't make me! I'm an adult!" It reminds me of when I turned 18. I was still a child but I felt like an adult just because I had turned 18.

Your earthly Father is a sinful man and can agree with your sin. My heavenly Father created all life and is righteous and is not in agreement with sin but did pay the penalty for those who accept it. It is not a requirement but a free gift. God created man and man seperated himself from God.. It was not God but man's sin that created seperation, God paid the penalty of death to bring us back to his righteousness...Its no game it is salvation and we depend of God for life..every breath is by his grace. He did come for a visit and many rejected him and many still follow him and he will return in his time until then we have his grace to sustain us.

If He came by for a "real" visit, it would blow your head off.
Here's the thing about God. You have to get to the point where you think even if He were the biggest jerk in the universe, you would still serve and love Him.....then you will see the truth.
