I wouldn't go so far as to say that, but there have been a lot of God-fearing mathematicians. Kurt Godel developed a mathematical ontological proof of God.

By the way how is the fibonacci sequence the father of the pythagorean theorem? Do you know of pythagorean quadruples. Example 2squared + 6sqared + 9 squared = 11squared. I hope to write a paper on Diophantine equations 2nd power. Peace.

Strangely enough the Pythagoreans were indeed math cultists!

However, Pythagoras did predate Fibonacci by almost two thousand years...
