Is there something I can say or pray? Should a minister or a counselor intervene? Should I just leave it alone and let it (hopefully) work itself out? I have certainly learned that strife is such a bad sin.

Keep your nose out of it. They have their reasons for doing what they're doing. Meddling will only hurt everyone.

don't know why from your question. But just pray about it. God will intervene if it is right. If it isn't just let God's grace be sufficent and go on.

satan is doing a good job of breaking up families.
If you can get them to sit and talk then try that...but maybe you should just love both of them and not take sides.
