I've recently lost 20Ibs looking to drop another 20ibs, I current have a 2 pack on my upper abs. I'd like to work on the bottom ones. So I should do situps and not crunches.

You dont get a 6 pack from doing sit-ups, they help strengthen your ab muscles true. You see a persons abs because they have smaller amounts of fat on their belly and less water weight in their skin. Work your whole core obliques too, Do long slow cardio to burn the fat(while eating properly), and do your situps and other ab exercises to improve definition and you will achieve your goal. If I go somewhere like the beach or something I will spend 15 minutes a day for 4 days in a sauna with a wrap around my stomach to work out all the water in my skin around my stomach, all bodybuilders do this to make their skin tight so their muscles stand out.

You pretty much answered your own question. The way to revealing a six pack is to get rid of all the fat covering it up.....you cant make muscles bulge through the fat. While crunches are awesome at toning and building muscle they arent very effective at burning the stubborn fat, your body cant burn off fat from just one area by over exercising otherwise gum chewers would have really skinny faces lol. If you still need to drop 20 lbs then Id focus more on trying to shed those pounds by increasing my cardio workouts and really watching my food intake especially starchy carbs. In addition water retention will hide your 6pack as well so drink lots of water and avoid salt and soda.

great abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym. if you want a six pack you have to remove all subcutaneous fat from the abdominal wall. this occurs from decreasing the body fat to below average levels. abdominal training only strengthens the muscles and has no effect on fat loss in that area. decreasing body fat comes from eating a healthy and balanced diet and by increasing the resting metabolic rate through high-intensity exercise.

Drink only water (I cut out all soda's etc.. because I like to eat not drink my calories and limit sweets . Worked great for me, If you aren't willing to work for the abs you dont deserve them. I did this workout almost everyday and I got abs In 2 months,a year later my core is in great shape and I get great complements all the time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5IVDUwofDU
