To use the music on the CD in your movie, first you have import it as wave or MP3 file into you computer. You can use iTune to rip your CD.
After this step, you should import the into Windows Movie Maker and add it to your timeline.
To learn how to add music in Movie Maker checkout:

Select the beginner mode, go to the table of content (on the top right side of the window) and select adding music in the Editing section.

Do you want to add music in the movie from CD right?
Click Start
Click All Programs
Click Entertainment
Click on Windows Movie Maker
Movie maker will start
I got Japanese version but I will try to tell correct English.
In the Movie maker on left side there are 1,2 and 3
No.1 the last one is import Audio or Music Click this
A window will be opened Locate the Drive and file you want to import
it will be opened It will be added under Collection
Drag and Drop this on stream line which is at the bottom.
Just try and see. Then you could also adjust it by dragging right to left. You have to practice.

when uploading music, it has to be in mp3 or wav and it's neither if you are uploading directly from CD if your CD is in the D or E drive (whichever it is). You can burn the music you want and save it on your C drive THEN upload it to windows movie maker.
