About Cancer....?

Question

How does one know when one gets it, i mean what are to symptoms or what causes one to go in to get checked, You hear about it alot, but i havent a clue what they are :/

There are many types of cancer and it depends on where you are talking about. Some cancers do not have any symptoms at all. My mother had melanoma skin cancer, this was evident by the moles not being right on her skin. If you have something unusual about your body that you are sure is not normal, you should see a doctor and have it checked out. Only you know your body better than anyone.

If you are female you should have a pap smear, as you do not always have symptoms of cervical cancer.

Always get your regular check ups and if you suspect that your body is not quite right, see a doctor.

Don't worry about something about what you may not have. Some people never have to worry about it, ever. So if you are worried you will get cancer someday, don't spend your days worrying about it, just be aware of your body and do your regular checkups and live your life day to day as you normally do. Have fun and be with your family and friends.

One can get cancer at any age, but certain types of cancer may affect at different ages. For example, breast cancer usually affects middle aged and elderly women. Different types of cancer have different symptoms and are detected differently. I know for breast cancer, a woman may have painful breasts and needs to go for a mammogram twice a year to check for cancer. Look up cancer on www.wikipedia.org

It totally depends on the type of cancer. Some don't show any symptoms, but most actually do although they might not be very obvious.
