If you want to be a wildlife biologist, your chances of getting a permanent job with a BS degree straight out of school are low, but there are plenty of seasonal and temporary positions that may eventually lead to a permanent job. So, you should expect it to take a few years to work up to a professional level. This can be a good thing because many of the seasonal jobs are really fantastic field positions. If you proceeded to graduate school for an MS degree or PhD, the job opportunities expand significantly. If tuition cost is an important consideration, there are many schools that offer degrees in wildlife biology or wildlife ecology that are less expensive than Unity College. The Univ. of Maine also has a nationally respected program.

Telecommunications is obviously a booming field right now, so the job opportunities straight out of school are pretty good, and the salaries are likely to be higher than those for a biologist.
