Isn't Easter the day that Jesus comes up out of his grave and if he sees his shadow he goes back down for six more weeks? Can't recall the Bunny's name though.

Cadbury

I just learned in class today that some people in Jesus' day did have pets. So I guess it's possible that Jesus may have had a pet bunny. He probably gave it a proper Jewish name. Or maybe he called it rabbi bunny.

this reminds me of a joke:

Once there was this Rabbi who was wandering and came upon the land of Trid. He observed their customs, and everything was fairly normal, except for once every day, at noon, the city bell would ring, and all the Trids would stop whatever they were doing and all go line up in the city square. Then a giant would come down out of the woods, and proceed to kick each and every Trid in the backside. Then the giant would go back to the woods, and everyone would go back to whatever they were doing, like nothing ever happened.

Naturally, the rabbi was curious about this, but no one seemed to know why they did it. "It's just tradition" they all said. So one day, the Rabbi decided to get in line with the Trids. Perhaps experiencing it himself would give him some clue. But when the giant came, he kicked everyone until he came to the Rabbi, and he skipped over him. So the Rabbi runs after him and says, "Giant, why did you kick all of them, and not me?" So the giant replied, "Silly Rabbi! Kicks are for Trids!"

You should watch the south park that just aired. It'll answer all of your questions about the easter bunny. One of the kid's dads is in a cult that worships the easter bunny: the hare club for men.

haha this question is funny. such a commercialized holiday, but schools are still banning the easter bunny even though it has nothing to do with christianity!

His name was Dick Easter, he went on to crap marshmellow and jelly bean eggs too. I think he is the monster now behind Cadbury, yes.

Wasn't it the Midas-touch bunny? Except this time, the eggs aren't being turned into gold;)
