I am a Christian....but I came across a technique of prayer through meditation. It is a way to commune with God (or Christ consciousness). You know the voice of God in you because it brings with it the undeniable feeling of peace that only God can bring. It will speak to you in the language or form you identify with, but no matter how that is, and it so very personal and unique to each of us, it brings peace. If the voice is not a feeling of love and peace, you are listening to something else....no doubt your "ego" which is not part of your spiritual self.

Yes, I listen. I know when it is God because I have the Holy Spirit within me and that gives me discernment to know... also, most of the time, if I am told something that makes me 'get out of my comfort zone' i know it is God... cuz i would rather NOT do whatever it is... but know in my Spirit that it is the Lord speaking to my heart....

I'm pretty sick in the head when It comes to hearing from God. I Hear 1000 voices a day, but I found out during my 6 yr seek, no one hears his voice. Only once in there life or something maybe, but not always. For we r not been directed by God, we go our own ways. But I will listen to his voice when I get healed. But right now, I fired him. I just use my own heart for him.

Its differant for everyone. Gos speaks in many ways. Not every hears him or recognizes when he does.
It falls back on faith. Do you belive he will answer you and if so look at things and your ideas and belief..
God answers most things but the trick is to find that answer.

First, you must have a relationship with Him, by accepting His Son Jesus as your own and personal Saviour. Next, you follow the principles of Jesus Christ and live a life of holiness and obedience.....

All I have to do is open His Book, and He speaks to me every day.
I trust I am listening, but He will be the judge of that.

The Holy Spirit confirms the words in the bible to your mind and heart.
The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt; [There is] none who does good, No, not one” (Psalm 14:2-3). “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden [His] face from you, So that He will not hear” (Isaiah 59:2). “For the wages of sin [is] death, but the gift of God [is] eternal life in Messiah Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
“But He [was] wounded for our transgressions, [He was] bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace [was] upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Messiah died for us” (Romans 5:8).
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9) “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” (John 1:12)
