John Paul the Second was a great Pope, much more better than the current one, but he's not a Saint. The concept of a Saint implies perfection and nobody is perfect.

With all respect to all believes and all people.....no body is holy but God the almighty the one and the only controling force in this universe.....I dont know where did the catholics get the idea of the "pope" in the first place?!?! The pope is an idol.....And all of these saint and holiness concepts are all people inventions.....Is it mentioned in any holy book that we should have this "pope" system and make them saints?!?!!??!

And ofcourse nobody gets healed by praying to an idol...Prayers are directed only towards God the almighty.

Who heals you when you are sick?? the saints...the popes?? NO...Its God the almighty....Just believing in saints and popes is a sin in itself...because by that you acompany Gods power with his creature's!! And it is no comparision ofcourse.

All the religions on the planet have misconcepts concerning these issues..apart from one religion ...ISLAM....for further info:

Other than Catholics there aren't a lot of people out there thinking of it. Probably not many Catholics either. The media thinks it's interesting. They thought Monika Lewinski was interesting. Also the Falklands War. You'd be surprised what the media thinks is interesting. I don't know anything the Nun.

It's about as relevant to my life as the Methodist Church's position on the alcohol content of the Host.

Which is to say, not terribly. The process is underscoring how much of an internal matter it is, even though it's an internal matter in a very large organization.

I don't really think about it. If that's what they want to do and believe, it's fine with me. I'll respect it.

I don't care. I'm not Catholic and it won't have any effect on my beliefs.
