I'd love to get into Capoeira and I want to know a little about starting. I already know about ginga, but any other additional information would be great. Thanks much.

Find a good school and take a class, there is no substitute for a good instuctor/professor/mestre.

The Ginga is the base of Capoeira, but there are also the basic kicks, dodges, etc. But the best way do learn is doing it properly. I don't know where you are, but have a look in the website bellow, the Group ABADA-Capoeira, which I am part of, is the biggest in the world, I am sure you will find where you are.

Try this link:

http://www.sweb.cz/capoeira.orlova/pohyby/Spaceport/moves.html

You may need to copy and paste it, but just from a five-minute search it seems like the most complete page out there, as it has many of the common techniques (including elbow moves) yet doesn't go into the break-dancing or gymnast stuff (like kip-ups) right off. It takes a minute or two to load because there are tons of pictures (hand drawn and an occasional sampling of Eddy Gordo--a video game character who uses capoeira as well).

I hope this helps....thanks for your time! ^_^ I wish I weren't so old and chubby, if my weight and shoulder injuries weren't an issue, I'd be doing this stuff myself too...

Now i am going to genuinely educate pride in it a touch. i don't have the album, BTW) i detect that there are a range of songs that I merely like after the 2d time. i wager your mind needs to get used to the sound. EDIT: Yeah, George became tremendous inclusive of his chords adjustments =D. really, i have self assurance George's songs are very underrated.
