fish is NOT a good food to feed cats on any regular basis...as a treat once in awhile is fine, however, fish is high in magnesium which causes urinary tract blockage (not fun for cat or owner) so stick with pure meats such as beef and chicken fish once in awhile only...good luck

Generally, cats like any kind of fish as long as it doesn't have small bones in it. Keep in mind that if it is an oilier fish, it is better for the cat's coat. However, also keep in mind that fish is not a nutritionally complete food for the cat so the fish should only be used as a treat. Feed your cat dry cat food, which does come with fish in it.

Why do people think that fish are a normal part of a cat's diet. Cats in the wild don't catch fish, or chicken, or beef. Why don't they sell mouse flavored food, or sparrow? Anyway, stick to a good dry food, like Science Diet, or something that your vet recommends. As a rule never feed people food to pets.

There's no need to give your cat any fish whatsoever.
If he likes it, you could give him an occasional can of cat food made with fish. But there's no reason you would need to give him non-cat food fish.
I've heard bad things about tuna in particular. If you're thinking to give him an occasional scrap of fish as you're preparing it for supper, that wouldn't hurt anything. Even tuna in very small amounts isn't the end of the world.

None. If you are smart you only feed your cat a vet approved dry food with some treats like Whiska Lickins or similar. No wet food either. Too high in things that create urinary tract problems later. Cats have a very sensitive system that improper diet can lead to urinary tract diseases...their nemisis. Table food or people food in general is not a healthy way to keep your cat. I don't approve of cats being outdoors either. If you want to keep your pet for a long time, you keep it indoors.

Tuna! A cat's favorite. Some cats like shrimp aswell. Fish is healthy for your cat! So it's smart to feed it fish.

as much as cats may like tuna, its one of the worst treats you can feed them. definitely stick to a dry kibble, its better for their organs and their teeth (keeps plaque and tartar buildup down) and for treats, no people food!
