Hahaha! So true! Atheists speak often of proof and scientific evidence, but how many have gathered that evidence and seen that proof for themselves, first-hand? They take someone else's word for it! At least we "religious" people admit that we are operating on faith rather than proof.

You use what you believe to be authoratative on the subject under discussion. If you just spout personal opinion (which happens here too often), all you have is a difference of opinion, which doesn't convince anyone of anything. Who are we to think that we know better than A) The Bible or B) Science (depending on our beliefs)?

I have read lots of books....you need to, to get an education. Since you haven't, you have nothing to stand on in a debate. Anyway, I cannot believe you haven't read any book. The mere fact that you are conversing in English here on YA proves you have at least read a children's book in your lifetime.

it is funny when people like you try to act like you are above it all. Atheism does not have its own "science book."
atheism/skepticism is not a faith in any specific book. It is a sincere attempt to take a step back and say "if i am going to put faith in something, i want to make sure i am not coercing myself."

I hate to burst your bubble but my "Book" is full of science. And there are plenty of "scientist" who are believers. One does not necessarily cancel out the other. Many of the greatest minds on earth are of faith. So if atheist are relying on science books i have to warn you "many are written by religious folk" Shocker huh?

Peace to you!
