I don't believe the spirit lingers long after death.
I am knowledgeable of the Bible and have read many life after death, CDE and NDE experiences.

So sorry for your loss.
If you are a Christian believer, the spirit departs the body and goes immediately to Heaven into God's presence. (2 Cor 5:8)
Our bodies are placed in the grave. There is no purgatory, no limbo, no soul-sleep. No intermediate state.

i admire what you try to assert right here yet i can not flow alongside with the analogy. The Holy Spirit enters our bodies no longer the soul of believers. And He does not direction by way of us as blood by way of our veins. I see it greater like the Holy Spirit taking over residency interior a house (or temple which we are) and setting up living house projects. The greater we enable Him to do His activity the greater effective we are for it. The cleanser He makes us the greater effective we characterize the owner which will make us greater desireable to others. each and every so often analogies help and each so often they preclude. assorted human beings while witnessing will ask yet another, "could you desire to ask Jesus into your heart." this will additionally make youthful babies ask ... Will He greater healthful? and adults ... is this guy or woman whacked out? sometimes i've got considered babies apprehensive by ability of the prospect of Jesus attempting to get of their heart. i think of we would desire to incredibly evaluate the connotation of ways any anaolgy we use will impact the hearer.

At the last breath the spirit leaves the body. The spirit is immortal and can not stay where there is no life. It leaves right away

generally, assuming the person has accepted their death, their soul separates pretty much right away.
though many believe that it hangs around a bit, observing and all until the funeral when it moves on entirely, (as its supposed to work anyway, sometimes people don't let go properly)
what your referring to is actually a relatively common occurance, many people feel that way, sometimes its as dramatic as actually feeling it as it happens, when they pass,

Yes, after my Mom passed, I slept in her bed (3 days later). I KNOW she was still there. She was so real. Didn't talk or anything but she was THERE! Trying to push me over. It was so weird, but comforting at the same time. Can't explain it.
