Your body would definitely suffer...... the medicine has to go through the body, but you may not feel a thing. I overdosed on a bunch of random prescriptions. I passed out after about 5 minutes. I woke up in the hospital two days later, someone had found me. I felt fine when I woke up, I didn't remember any pain, but that may just be me.

They shot a tranquilizer up my backside once when i had way too much alcohol in my system for it to be ethically justified. I woke up 4 days later in intensive care with a social worker by my bedside asking why I got into that state.
The only thing i suffered is no one was prepared to admit that I was too intoxicated for any tranquilizer to be put into me, Intramuscular injection or not.
Beyond that, I really don't remember between the needle going in and waking up 4 days later.
Paracetemol overdose is meant to be a painfull one i believe.

I don't think it happens instantly, but depending on the medicine it could happen. I think after it gets into your system you might die, something else could happen though, you could go into a coma.

It depends on what you ingest. Usually, no one dies "instantly", it takes a little while to go into your system.
