You are apparently taking regular Claritin (which contains no nasal decongestant) instead try some Claritin-D or Alavert-D (12 or 24 hour formulation) with the Pseudoephedrine 120mg (nasal decongestant) & Loratidine 5mg (antihistamine) that way u can stop taking the Benadryl. They are available without a prescription & work very well. Give it a week you will notice a big difference. But nothing beats your own physician's or local pharmacist's opinion usually Allegra or Allegra-D180mg or Zyrtec10mg is prescribed.

I found only Allegra and Allegra D worked for me. Clariten did nothing. I also can't live without my Patenol prescription eyedrops. Usually they also say the prescription nasal sprays work the best .

Clariten works great if you take one every day. By the third week you should be immune to almost everything.

There are a bunch of medications that your doc could prescribe for you. I'd ask for some samples to see which one works best for you. Once you find out ask for a script.
If you're going the otc route, the only otc med that ever helped me was sudafed.
Hope it helps. Good luck!

Zyrtec is a prescription medicine. It works best if you take it before you go to bed. I used to take Claritin and I found it made me very very drowsy and I felt as if I had a hangover. It didn't work very well.
