We traditionally give books as thank-yous, which is okay, but does anyone have an idea for something else, not organization-branded?

I am purchasing gifts for about 20 people, and yes, we have a limited budget. Instead of criticizing how much we have to spend, help me with an idea or move on.

YOu could give a small Journal. NOt an organizer but a journal. I would say a pen but that can be crass. My mom recommends a Starbucks gift card. They travel, maybe a book store gift card....they read right? Be creative....what would you like to get as a gift?

If it is for ladies, then a nice leather clutch purse from Kohl's will be great. If it is for gentlemen, I would go with a leather key ring.
I am a big fan of Starbucks and a gift card from this store will hold good for men and women alike.

Your talking two smokes and a coke.
It's really hard to get anything for ten bucks.
How about a nice thank you card and a
coupon for $10 off on a dinner for two.
It's a little over your budget, but a two dollar
card isn't going to break you.

how about a bottle of wine and a thank you card? there are lots of nice wines for under $10... and even if they don't drink it, they will appreciate it (and maybe saves them from buying someone else a gift!!)
