Well... i have this mole on my back... and sometimes it sends sharp pains through my back. I showed my mom, and she said if it was cancerous it wouldnt hurt, and would be bigger. But then my step mom looked at it and said it was wierd that it was two different colors. I should get it checked out, right? i just don't want to go to the doctor's and have him look at me as if i am crazy!!!

Moles do not cause any pain. You should have it checked, especially if it is two different colors, irregular shaped (not totally round), and if it is bigger than the eraser of a pencil. Always good to be safe than to be sorry.
I had one on the top of my foot and had it for years. Never thought about it until I went for a check-up and my doctor spotted it and did a biopsy, turned out to be on the verge of becoming cancer.

Unless mom has a medical degree I'd say go have it checked out. If anything the peace of mind will be worth it. If it's nothing great but if it's something the sooner it's detected the easier it will be to deal with.

Have it checked just in case.....if you have a mole that changes colors, grows bigger or changes in any way you should have it checked. I had one removed....there was nothing wrong with it, but it was big and with time it could cause a problem due to sun exposure and stuff....

you are not crazy=go see the Dr as he can take a sample to see if it is cancerous=hopefully it isn't=my daughter has to have moles on her arm checked every month as they are growing=tell Mom that some moles do become infected as I saw one of my Friends and it was awful

Yes, you should get it checked out...Usually if moles aren't symmetrical they could be cancerous. I'm sure your Doctor wouldn't look at you crazy, it's better safe than sorry. Good luck!

YES. Abnormal borders (not perfectly rounded) and colour are two signals of a mole not being just a mole.

a mole is not supposed to hurt unless you hit it or scrape it and it is supposed to have one color.......get it checked!!!!!! even if its not cancerous, you might want to get it removed if its giving you pain. good luck!
