Why do many people (including the church, the Body of Christ) think the Ten Commandments are no longer in effect? The Bible says where there is no law there is no sin (Romans 4:15)and sin is the violation of the law ((1 John 3:4) So if there is no law and no sin. There are no sinners and hence according to this way of thinking there is no need for Jesus. Do you see how riduculous this is? So the commandments are still in effect not just 9 but all 10. The world needs to know this and the church needs to understand judgment begins at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17)

Jesus did away with the Mosaic law by instituting a new law. The Mosaic law focused on many specifics (do this, don't do that). But the law Jesus insituted is far better. It's summed up in the Golden Rule. If we follow this, as well as "You must love God with your whole heart, soul, mind and strength", you don't need the Mosaic law. You'll be doing everything correctly anyways.

The idea of right and wrong has been replaced by people's obsession with personal freedoms. People in to days society believe they should be able to do whatever they please , even if it's immoral and hurts other people. There is no longer any importance placed on maturity and responsibility for ones actions.

The religious right destroyed it, by eliminating any distinctions between true and false, and then declaring wrong to be right and right to be wrong.
