My granddad used to tell me of wusses who shot themselves in the feet during WWII...You could go through a religious conversion, and become a Quaker, then maybe request discharge as a contientious objector. Or, you could just finish what you signed up for. We've all seen war and military movies, so it's not like you didn't know what you were getting into before you signed on.

I like how all these people are all saying that you should fulfill what you started, or calling you a wuss...but many of them dont know what its like to be in. I am in the army and just re-upped not too long ago, but I have learned that some people and the army dont go together well. I know a guy who re-enlisted while we were in Iraq, but once we got back to the rear he got a DUI and then got caught drinking when he wasnt supposed to be, and they are kicking him out for misconduct. He will be getting a general discharge, but it turns honorable after a certain amount of time.

During Basic training you are still able to separate voluntarily. Once you reach your unit there is failure to adapt, however your time will be hard. The best thing you can do is serve out the term of your contract and ETS after that.

Just stay away from me, during my next deployment I don't want someone doubting their service covering my back.

well being a professional soldier myself, i must tell you that you should stick it out, it will be over soon and you can go on your merry way, or you may find that you like it, and this is a llife you are destined to do, on the other hand, you may be having difficulty adjusting to military thought, and training, you may contact me by clicking my profile, but if your problems are severe you should see your chaplain, he has the best guidance any one can give.

Well, you could always eat your way out. Or maybe you could fail 15 PT tests in a row. Or.... you could fulfill your contract and ETS.

Smoke a lot of dope. That way we could get rid of you and your brains will be fried out.
