I have really never did anything like that before. Even though its not going all the way. Should I at least think about it? He says I dont have to really commit myself until we are married.

What exactly is "anything like that"? You need to be more specific...If he wants to hold hands-by all means -that's lots of fun!
When it comes to morality there is no "not all the way". Either your behavior is moral, or it is not. True Love is patience, respect and caring. One of the primary components of true love is the wish to protect the loved one against all harm -physical, emotional and spiritual. Fleeting (sexual) relations bring nothing but emptiness and heartache after the fleeting pleasure....
Remind your Christian boyfriend that he is supposed to set a higher standart...and ask him how much he loves you-enough to wait ? Whatever "it" is that doesn't go all the way (petting, etc?)....
