For the intial attack to crumble their infastructure it would take a good 4 months of combat.Since they have an airforce and large military and a navy to to terrorize the gulf and the oil ports. But the aftermath will be nothing like Iraq.Only 100 times worse. After their military infastructure is crumbled they will recruit theur 11 million strong militia group and head into Iraq,Israel and maybe even into Southern Europe.Well if you
are a serious conservative I assume you are thinking nukes right now so look at the link way below to see a scenario if the U.S launched a nuclear attack and the answer with the similar avator is mine. But a nuclear attack is very unlikely. But anyway even if Iran is heavily bombarded after their forces are crumbbled they will spread terrorism all around the world. And eventually our worst fears will be realized. This is not liberalism but its being logical and not patriotic even if I really wish the patriotically planned outcome came in this scenario but this is the real world and the optimistic view presented to Bush about Iraq missed one thing. The insurgents. There are currently 10,000 of them in Iraq. And they kill 2 U.S soldiers a day.Invading Iran will cause 11 million Jihadis to be there. And hundreds of thousands will be heading into Saudi Arabia to disrupt oil.The U.S will have to bring the draft back. And trillions of dollars as well. This is logically what will happen.Their military can easily be crumbbled conventionally but not inconventionally. They will fight guerrilla style and the fighting and hate will be seen all over the world.Syria who is Iran's close alley will support Iran and maybe get their forces involved. It will be all out chaos.Terrorist acts will drastically increase in Europe and the social unrest will grow stronger.Even with the chance of spreading to the U.S...

First of all if we have won the Iraq war why are soldiers still being killed there on a daily basis.

Second. If you think China and Russia are going to let us invade Iran you are crazy. Third. Iran is not full of idiots. I have worked with a lot of Iranians and they are very intelligent people. They have been buying weapons from Russia for years. Iran will not be a cake walk. It will last years and cause millions of deaths before it is over.

Any STUPID neocon who thinks we are the all powerful OZ and our military can take on the world better think again. There are weapons that can take out aircraft carriers.

This is not the rag tag Iraqie army we are talking about.

If we invade Iran it will be the nighmare from hell.

Gilla you are a idiot.

Lol we didn't win in three weeks, it took forever to get Saddam! Plus we still have to mobilize the people of Iraq and assist the devoloping government, and people are still terrorizing the area with suicidal bombings! That is far from a win to me. Until the area is secure, safe, and the government and the people connect and the civil war stops then that is a win. What Iran war, you honestly think there will be one with the losses we had in Iraq. I highly doubt the Democratic congress will let Bush's stupid self get us into even more mess then he already has. Plus Iran will be even more difficult, as someone has said they are smart. They have connections to weapons as strong or stronger than our own. Plus the I know our allies wouldn't have that.

There is really no telling when the war will be over if we go to Iran. Our military is being spread too thin and I don't think we need to be there at this moment in time. We are still trying to finish the war in Iraq! Just because Bush said it was over doesn't mean it was actually OVER! We are fighting a network of terrorists and that war will never end. There will never be peace. If I had to choose I would say 2 months. If there is a Democratic president voted in this time then we wont go to Iran. If we go before that happens then they will pull our military out of there. I think we can win it in one day if we just bomb them with a nook, making them a glass parking lot and call it a day!!!!!!

most of the iraq armys were ordered to stay in there barracks by sadaam,
iraq has a popultaion of 30million
with no airforce.

iran has 70million, with an airforce and a fair military pressence, with captured iraqi jets etc.

i dont doubt that USA, GB will be able to beat iran but they will get there nose bloodied in the process

even though we already won war there are still terrorists out there that are a threat to us in iraq. also the soldiers choose to be in iraq, we shouldn't decide for them. they can come back if they want dudes. we're still in iraq because we're a nice country and are helping them out...so don't be greedy and say we shouldn't help them. there are kids out tehre adn families who are dying because of teh evil taht was in their country. we're helping them still. so shut it
