I visited my doctor the other day, about being put on medication for Anxiety/Depression. I was on one like 2 months ago but it made me 25x worse then i was so i came off and was referred to talk to somebody. I went and talked to them who asked me to go back to my Doctor to be put back on meds. In the last month I've lost about 15 pounds, my appitite has gone from eating like a horse to eating nothing .. and my sleeping is really really off. When my doctor asked about my sleeping i told her about it but when it came to my eating ... i lied about it .... Is it nessacary for me to tell her about it ??? What difference will it make to her?? Also should I tell her about how down im feeling still .. like the last week i've been soo irritable and stressed out *maybe it was the doctors visit* thats i've been crying for no reason?? Your opinion will help ... what would do if you were in my shoes??

You should always be honest with your answers when your doctor is questioning you about how you feel and how the medication is working...
your doctor can't help you if you don't tell them what is REALLY going on...
it's not too late to call them back and tell them what is going on, and have a medication change or new recommendations...
you are the only one who knows how the med makes you feel, if you dont tell your doctors, they won't know and won't be able to help you..hope this helps!

Why wouldn't you tell your doctor all that? Changes in eating habits is one of the hallmarks of depression, and so are sleeping changes. You need to write down all that stuff you think could be important and you can just hand the doctor the list if your doctor's appointments are taking too long or you are forgetting things. You shouldn't ever lie to the doctor-I mean, they hear it all and are not going to be judgmental like your mom or someone might be. How can a doctor diagnose you if you don't tell them the facts and especially if you lie???

Religion is likely one of the primary factors of the entire mental disorders you, and most every body undergo from, in a single degree or an extra. Guilt, never doing adequate to thrill our god. Judgmental family members, friends, and institutions of man, have wreaked havoc on our self esteem and confidence. Greed and desire for energy have triggered governments and representatives to repress and conform their topics to their collective will. Ache, sickness, and just the simple efficiency of day-to-day survival techniques, takes a massive toll on us all. That being mentioned, whatever you can do to relieve a few of these stresses will do extra to aid, than any conforming to a religious motto or false feel of wellness. No extra guilt, no extra worry or fretting about matters we can not trade. No person is aware of if a God particularly exists, so why would you spend to any extent further time being in poor health over, demons........If there may not be a God, that additionally applies to any imagined angels or demons.

If I were in your shoes, I would find a doctor that I felt comfortable talking to. Sometimes it's hard to find someone you like and trust, but keep searching until you find one. Depression can be treated effectively, but it takes the right medication and the right doctor. Don't give up.

If I were in your shoes,,,
I would tell the doctor the truth,
they cannot help us and get the treatment right,
if we aren't honest with things.
They really do want to help up get better,
but if you don't throw all those factors in there,
one little deviation can throw everything off balance.

I think you will be ok, even on meds, you will have
"those days".
Just not as bad or as often,,,,
talk to doc again, tell them the truth, and go with it from there.
You seem pretty in touch with yourself,,,
you know what is normal, and what isn't,,,
do what you have to, til you feel things are working
for you, and helping you.
Good luck to you!!!

You HAVE to be 100% upfront with your doctor. Things like depression and medications are monitored over a period of time. The mental and the physical go together... it's seldom just one or the other. Please be very honest with her about what is going on with you because it's not just about whether you have depression or not. Keep up the counseling while also continuing to work with your physician. Take care!

I have been in your shoes and maybe you should ask them about zoloft. You know it could help if you tried not to concentrate so much on your depression, and do something fun. Like to the beach or an amusement park. You know it is normal to be depressed to a certain extent but know in your heart that everything gets better. This is just another page in your book.

I have been there done that. If I were you, I'd have told her because it is important for her to know. If I were you I'd probably kick up how many times a week I talk to someone. A lot of people think "You're insane and crazy" if u see a shrink, but to be honest it helped me a lot and I wish I didn't stop going when my mom made us.

Don't give up... you hang in there. They'll figure the right medications out for you but it takes time. If you can't talk to the doctor look find another.
