Luke 16:19-31 describes a rich man in Hell and Lazarus in Heaven. So, in Hell: you may be able to remeber the people you loved, you can look up into Heaven, there is fire and there is thirst. The thirst is symbolic for the seperation from Jesus because Jesus said in John 6:35" I am the bread of life, whoever comes to me will never go hungry and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." There will be worms. Mark 10:47-48 speaks about this. It is everlasting shame and contempt. Daniel 12:2. There will be darkness and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 8:12.

Hell is the place of eternal torture and torment. Unquenchable Hell Fire forever!!! It is definitely a PLACE!
GOD SAID IT, THAT SETTLES IT!!!
Also in Matt. 25:41- Then He will also say to those on the Left hand, "Depart from me you cursed into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels" Matt. 25:46 - And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.
2 Thessalonians 1:8,9 - In flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power!
God is a Loving God, and He doesn't send people to Hell people send themselves. God gives all of us a choice to choose between Heaven or Hell.
Proverbs 3:31 Do not envy the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

Are you referring to Jannes and Jambres in 2Tim 3:8? They were the magicians in Pharoahs court in Ex. 7.
Jesus spoke more about hell than He did about Heaven...in the Gospels

IMO, hell was created by man as a means to frighten people into giving money to the church. I feel that the Bible is mostly intact, but I have this feeling that men have "made adjustments" in an effort to help bring more people into the fold, long long ago. More people = more money. God doesnt need money, but men do.

Satan started out as one of God's many Angels. His name was not Satan before, the bible doesnt speak of wut his name was.He decided to call himself that after he rebelled, the name Satan means resister and the name Devil means slanderer. He was created by God and his son to be good.Later after Adam and Eve were created, He decided to decieve them by telln Eve that God had lyed to her thus sentencing her to death and her husband who was soon to share her fate, and challenging Jehovah's authority. He then challenged God telln him that humans would only serve God if he gave them what they wanted, God havn faith and luv for his people disagreed. He believes that we luv him and have faith in his fine works.Satan tryed to test Job, A man who was very rich had everything, had wut the bible said was the most beautiful daughter in the land and many other children,He had 10. and God let him do what he could to try and turn him away, including killn all of his children and making him extremely sick.Job thought he was being punished for something by God and Couldnt figure out what he had done not knowing that it was satan who was doing all of this, but Job remained faithful and was blessed for having faith in Jehovah. Thus proving Satan wrong. Satan felt like he was a god and that people should worship him instead and decided that he was still going to live in heaven with God as a Rebel but God and his son and his angels kicked Satan out of heaven and all the angels that wantd to go with him,now known as demons. He was hurlled down to the earth,He was sentenced to death/hell.Hell is the Commen grave, firey hell is symbolic.Hell is only determined underground because that is where dead ones are buried, hell or sheol is a grave not a place for suffering.A God with such loving qualities would not sentence his people to burn forever. If he did no one would believe that he is the loving God he really is.

Please check your spelling.
Jannes was an egyptian sorcerer.
2 Timothy 3:8 - Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
