What if im scared of Death?

I want to believe in God, but there is no solid proof that he exists, im scared that when i die i just cease to exist.....plz comfort me lol,, I really want there to be a Heaven

Bless your heart! The reason God gave us His manual, His guidebook = The Bible, was so that we can know Him, know Truth and know past and future which includes Heaven and Hell. We need something to guide us. God did not create the universe just to leave us to ourselves without any directions on how to live and what to believe!! I assure you that when any of us die, including you, that you will not cease to exist, but will go to heaven or hell. Just because you want or do not want to believe in something has NO bearing on it's existence. I would be concerned about WHERE you will spend your future forever!! God did not give us a spirit of fear (biblical). You can go to heaven with assurance today! Ask Jesus into your heart, confess your sins to Him, repent with a willingness to change and then make Him Master of your life. Read His Word often. We need Spiritual food to grow in faith and to battle the enemy, satan who will put doubt in your thoughts. Jesus will listen to an earnest heart and make you His child. You will be a new creation and will see and understand when you accept Jesus. Do not delay. No one knows, but God when our last breath will come. Please do not listen to nonbelievers, but discern everything with the Word of God. And any religion that does not include Jesus as the Son of God who died, so that you can live is a cult. Beware of this. Satan uses cults to keep you from the True God!! God bless you!

There's no proof God doesn't not exist either!

You have nothing to loose but the time and patience to want to find out if it's so important to you and you feel you need to believe.

My advice is to read the Bible. To begin with, not as a duty, but with an open curious mind and heart and.... just listen! Don't be influenced by various credences, religions or sects, so as to be externally influenced, just do it on your own, in your own good time. Personally, and I'll admit I'm biased, I'd start from the New Testament if I were you, particularly Jesus's words and teachings, because no other can 'hit home' as His words did, at least not for me anyway.
From there, you may want to learn more about the basics, profecies and proofs mentioned in the Gospels and will want to go back and re-inforce all the new found knowledge through reading and learning from the Old Testament, which will reinforce all you've learned and will serve to assert the truth as it foretells.

I was like you and it worked for me so that's the best I can offer you too ;))

Don't worry it is natural to be afraid of death. But with God then you will not have to worry. There is proof that he exists it is the Bible. There are a lot of people that say that it is just a story but it is not. It is the truth Jesus died for our sins so we could go to heaven. If anyone tells you to prove that there is a God tell them to read the Bible. If they say it's just a book ask them to prove what they believe. In my opinion there isn't a whole lot of proof that can be put on a scientist table. Because God wants us to believe in him and have faith. He is there he wants you to come to him. Tell him you are afraid and ask him for comfort. Believe that God exists and he will help you. I know it is scary. I know I work at a cemetery and it can make you wander. The thing I am afraid of is not being able to do all the stuff I still want to do. You know before I die. Any way I hope this helps.

I went through the same thing -- for years. I know that heaven and an afterlife are a major comforter to us and, therefore, would be something that our minds would create when faced with non-existence. I didn't want to delude myself into believing because of desperation and hope. I searched and searched and prayed and prayed and read everything and realized that all of it had holes in it. I was an atheist. I also decided to have an open mind as well. About 10 years ago, I was going through the worst of the worst in my life and I literally let control of my 'self' go (I thought I had done this before but realized that night that I hadn't). What happened next was startling -- Something that was there all along - so close to me (it was Me but wasn't the small 'me') -- took over and resolved all the conflicts. It was total non-judging. I couldn't get the experience back (because I realized I was still attached to my 'self') but got into Zen and 'A Course in Miracles'. While doing both, I had some other 'glimpses' and experiences that blew me away -- it's hard to explain. But none of this means anything because YOU have to experience it. Belief can only be a means -- NOT an end. '3 Pillars of Zen' has some explanations of enlightenment experiences. The bottom line: when people have an enlightenment experience, they literally experience themselves as not isolated to this body, brain, personality. They experience themselves as EVERYTHING and the same thing that was there from the very beginning (that which is without form, energy, etc.). And they experience INCREDIBLE joy and are no longer afraid of death. But these words mean nothing until you experience it for yourself.

About 2000 years ago a man walked the Earth who said that there is a God and that that God has a great plan for anyone willing to believe. God's word (the Bible) says " I have set eternity in the hearts of man ", which is why, it is no accident that you are needing to know about what happens after death. Jesus said that he is the son of God and that anyone who believes this and gives their heart to him will never die.
This is proof enough. It's written in history. Check it out. Knowing Christ and what he says about death and Eternity, means you never need worry again. Your future is secure in Heaven. I was just like you scared, unsure and frightened about the end of my life. I now have hope and security knowing Christ. There is nothing like knowing him and what he says will be. Pick up a bible and read an account of christ's life by one of his friends, Matthew, Mark or John and start getting to know tthe great plan he has for you too. I pray you will do this and join all of us who love Jesus and enjoy knowing this awesome truth. Have Faith and believe.

you cant believe in heaven if your dont believe in God. well, i think most religiously confused people feel what you are feeling. no one want to just cease to exist, everyone want to be there in heaven. it is true that there is no SOLID proof that says that God exists. the only thing i can say is, dont believe in god just because you want to go to heaven, that would be the wrong reason to believe in god.

Is this basic enough proof of a God? The proof of his existence in the earth, which is the right size, the perfect distance from the sun, has the perfect tilt, mixture of gases to support life,good balance of water, and a life cycle. We see design in ourselves. We have brains and a nerve center that store knowledge and memories plus it tell us when we are in pain. We have ears that we can hear just the right amount not to little so we could hear others talk and not too much we can hear air molecules passing through our ears. We have eyes to see plant and animals and all creation. We have a heart to pump blood throughout are body. We have lungs to breathe in air.Every part of our body has a purpose and was designed perfectly. Look at a cell! How much information is in something so small.

If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart Jesus Christ is lord you shall be saved from destruction.

Jesus died for you...all he wants in return is your life.To praise and worship him in all you do.

WHERE ARE THE DEAD?

Gen 3:19: "In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dusst you will retrun."

Eccl. 9:10: "All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol, the place to shich you are going."

WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THE DEAD?

Eccl. 9:5: "The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all."

Ps. 146:4: "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish."

You can see from these scriptures that once our life end in system there is no need to be afraid, it is as if we are asleep, we no nothing. Although we may loose our life in this system god has promised that we will have a chance of living again right here on earth. (Please read on)

He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?"
