-Read the book and visit the sites below about curly hair. I did and my once horrible curly hair is now virtually frizz-free ringlets. Now I get compliments on my hair all the time! Straighten your hair- be happy for a day, learn to manage your curly hair- be happy for life!
- To style your hair using the curly-girl method you will need gel and conditioner at the minimum. Some less useful, but still nice stuff would be a blowdryer, a diffuser, butterfly clips, and a microfiber hair turban.
-The main philosophy of the curly-girl method is to not use shampoo. This may sound unhygenic but it has actually made my hair less oily and dandruffy. Shampoos contain some of the same chemicals found in laundry detergent. They dry out curly hair.
- Massaging of the scalp with conditioner to remove dirt is all that is needed. Then rinse and spread conditioner on the outside layer of hair and the hair at the nape of your neck. Gently comb tangles out with your fingers or a wide toothed comb and rinse. It is also important to use gel on sopping wet hair and scrunch the hair. Then let your hair air dry or use a blowdryer with a diffuser.
- I really like the garnier fructis sleek and shine leave in cream and Tressemme clean hold gel, but there are more conditioners, gels, etc. on the websites. Frizz-ease hair serum is pretty good for fighting frizz. Devacurl is a brand of products for curly hair. However, it's pricey and hard to find a store that sells it. Easy to find online though...
- Your hair may seem worse at first, but it is just adjusting. This takes 2 to 4 weeks begin working. This is hard to do if you don't read the book, or at least the websites. Naturally curly hair can be beautiful! Hope this helps!
for dandruff:
1 Tbsp. brown sugar (coarse)
3 Tbsp. conditioner
1) Mix to create a thick consistency (just before getting in the shower). 2) Wet your hair then rub the paste on your fingertips. Apply to scalp and massage gently in a circular motion starting at the nape of your neck and moving upward. Linger on any spots that seem tense or itchy. Rinse thoroughly, then condition.

-head and shoulders is a great, cheap brand for dandruff and dry hair. it's moisture rich formula will also help prevent future split ends.
-for split ends your going to have to get a trim but to help tame them for now use a dab of olive oil.
-you may also want to get a special frizz control cream to help with your frizz and flyaways. john frieda is a good brand.
-to define curls get a special curl cream. i like bed head products.

well last week i bought this expensive shampoo, well i really believed it would work but pretty much it didnt,i read in this book that clear shapoo's are not good for the frizzie type of hair.well yasterday i went to wal-mart and found this new shampoo because i didnt have money to buy another expensive shampoo that probably wont work.the shampoo i bought did a miracle to my hair when i took a shower this morning its called "vive pro"nutri gloss that promotes shine and bounce, its a pink shampoo.it made my hair so soft and frizz free.i would reccomend you not drying your hair with the blow dryer,if you let it dry naturally it wont get frizzie, and tose heatind straightners,if you have to only use it for special occasions.

Try Ouidad. It was developed for frizzy and extremely curly hair which has the tendencies to be dry. Check out this website:

Insider dandruff secret. To eliminate embarrassing white flakes, combine 1/2 tsp. sea salt with 1 Tbs. conditioner and massage into wet scalp for one minute. Rinse thoroughly. “The salt grains exfoliate dandruff particles, while the emollients in the conditioner moisturize and soothe to prevent further flaking,” explains Ouidad, owner of Ouidad Salon in New York City.

Don't believe what they all told you. NOTHING will help your damaged hair because it is already damaged. Weather it is dying , drying your hair, or using gel alot, what ever it was, you can't fix it by shampoo. The ONLY way to fix it is good treatment. Do your hair a favor and stop damaging it. Belive me, a natural, healthy, shiny hair all the time is better than wavy, curly, or straight hair in that has split ends and no strength.

Kerastase shampoo and conditioner. If that's too expensive try Biolage or Pantene. Also use John Frieda Frizz Ease extra strength serum. It works really well. Good luck!

you may desire to circulate to a hairdresser. Get it trimmed and deep situation it. It truly facilitates! For flyaways and frizz, i take advantage of CHI Silk Infusion gel. i like it. you ought to use it in the adventure that your hair is moist or dry. in case you awaken with frizzy hair, in basic terms positioned some gel on in the morning and your hair seems solid all day. I additionally use TreSemme perfect Curls mousse. i take advantage of that when I wash my hair at night so as that I awaken with solid finding hair. TreSemme perfect Curls Spray Gel and John Frieda Spiral form Curl Defining Spray Gel (they're the two the comparable element with the comparable outcomes.) are the two solid products too. You spray your hair once you wash it and scrunch it to define your curls and lock them.
