Also, will they turn darker over time if exposed to enough light? Mine are light blue and they seem to be really sensitive to light.

The iris pigmentation is what keeps the eye dark from inside (which is essential to see). blue is the lightest iris colors and so its the most transparent to light making every thing look very bright.
And NO they will not get darker with exposure so don't try to "tan" them otherwise you will end up with cataract.
some babies are born with blue eyes then with time it gains color but if you are not a baby there is nothing that will make your eye darker.
by the way, to me blue is the most beautiful eye color . I always get lost when I look into someone blue eyes.

I have light blue eyes also. My optometrist told me that light-eyed people tend to be more sensitive to the sun. I even wear my sunglasses on cloudy days.
I don't know about them turning darker if exposed to light. I don't think your eyes can drastically change colors.

It's the amount of pigment in them. Another example is skin, really pale people have less pigment in their skin and are more sensitive to sunlight so they burn easier. Eyes are the same way, except the color of them won't change or get darker.

Just like with a sun tan, the pigment works like a parasol, in that it blocks some of the light.
The color of your eyes will not change over time...this is coded in your DNA.

Because during the Holocaust, people were intentionally bred with the pedophilic bloodlines, weakening their genetics (and eyes) .. .you can do anything to get high and consider yourself superior I guess!
