IF you want a Good study Bible, to to GTY.ORG and purchase the John MacArthur Study Bible. It has over 20,000 Study notes. Pastor John has been teaching the Word for over 35-years and is Fluent in the OT Hebrew and the NT Greek.
There is also a broadcast that you can hear on line, called Grace to You. It is on many radio stations throughout the USA and internationally. They also have many study tapes and Cd's.
All the teaching is Biblical Authoritative as per Matt 4:4 & Luke 4:4.
Thanks, Roger R.

Hey sweety!! King James is a good version, but if you're really wanting to get a good study Bible, the best to get is the NASB 1995 updated version. Their translation is the closest to the original manuscript than any other version out there...and it's just about as easy to read as the NIV. We have the MacArthur NASB Study Bible and absolutely love it. There are tons of notes on each page, maps, charts, etc. The only down side is the concordance. There are a lot of words I like to look up, especially when looking for specific scriptures, and I always have a problem finding anything in their concordance. You can always get a separate concordance for whichever version (we have the NIV one) and look it up that way.
If you sign up with Family Christian Stores (if you're not already) they send out coupons all the time for sale items and non sale items for up to 50% off. Use that and go look...they should have the NASB.
Another thought that really helps put the Bible in perspective is getting one in chronological order. We have the KJV and the NIV (there the only 2 I've found). I like the NIV better because it has notes to introduce each section and even makes you think a little. Plus it's so much nicer reading it in the order the events actually took place. I think the KJV is a more in depth to the dates and times but there really are no notes whatsoever.
Basically I think the best thing for you to do would be to go into your local Christian book store and let them know what you're really looking for and spend some time going through the different Bibles they have there and see which one really suits you best for your needs.
I hope this helps!!!!

Any King James version of the Bible is ok. Now if you want pictures to go along with with the text, that may be what you want. The only way you could find the kind of Bible your are looking for would be to go to the different sites. Type in to your browser, king James Bible with pictures. Pictures help us to understand what the text says, I think

Zondervan. I have the Life Application Study Bible and absolutely love it. I have the NIV. I also prefer the New King James version as the King James version has the thou's type language that isn't as easy for me to understand.

Since you already own a Bible, why not pick up Haley's Bible Handbook. Discusses the HISTORY and shows Archaeological locations, monuments, Tablets, etc. It's quite interesting!

In KJV I have the Defenders Study Bible. Lots of extra information. I think there are other versions to look at as well. NIV, CJB, NASB, NLT are very good versions. You would do well just to check them out and compare one of your favorite verses.
