I Have a question my battery never shows fully charged and dies really quick if you leave a light or something. I just got the battery like a month ago. What could be wrong?????

here's a trick to test the alternator....start the car and have it running pull the positive wire(red) off of its post....the car shoul stay running with no problem...if it shuts off then your alternator is not charging to its full potential.

You need to check if your alternator is supplying full voltage. With the car running above idle speed, you should measure close to 14 volts across the battery. If it is much less, your alternator is bad. If the voltage is good while the car is running, chances are your battery is defective and won't hold a charge.

Sounds like you may have a shorted cell in the battery or your alternator is not putting out the right voltage. With the engine off, use a voltmeter and see if you have 12.0V. Start the engine you should have 13.5 or .6V. If these figures don't match you have a problem somewhere.

Perhaps the battery is no good or maybe your alternator is giong bad. We have an 86 Mustang. Good luck :)

sounds like the voltage regulator is bad, i'd buy it first, because you should put a new one in with a new alternator anyway

go to auto zone , advance auto parts, napa etc they all do free diagnostic checks . bad ground? poor connection.
