It's all a frame of mind. You have a choice to be positive or negative. It is much more easy to get through this with a positive outlook. Every morning when you wake up, just make the decision and make yourself stick with it. Everyone has bad days, so will anyone going through cancer treatments but make your goal to have more good days than bad.

My aunt Flora was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of years ago. So, when an opportunity came up for me to do a research paper in one of my classes, I decided to do it upon alternative cancer treatment methods.
I found all types of information, including the below website. I sent my aunt to the website, and she didn't do anything. So, I went ahead and bought the package for her... I am so glad that I did! They talk about all kinds of natural treatment methods, and all of the resource materials were written and provided by previous cancer survivors!
She altered her diet, changed her daily activities, as well as went through acupuncture treatments and taking a tai-chi class... She says that her success may not have been totally due to the information in the books, but her doctor agreed with her that they most likely helped her to maintain a positive outlook towards her treatments. She also improved upon the foods that she ate, switching to all-natural and organic foods, which helped her body to have better "building blocks" in order to help her maintain her health and energy levels during her treatments...

My son had cancer recently (malignant melanoma) his attitude was the best that I have ever seen. He felt that as long as they caught it before it was lethal that he could deal with it because once it passes a certain point, there is no help. He stayed in contact with his friends, went out (but on a more limited basis), and continued with his hobbies and worked out at the gym when the doctor told him he could do light workouts. Along with God and prayer, he pulled through.

Join an online support group, but check it out carefully before you join. The online group that I belong to is cheerful to the point that we can joke about the - really nasty - disease. Someone said how wonderful it is to talk to people without having to explain, last week.

I know a woman that really works hard to nourish her postive state of mind through meditation , visualization, and relaxation, her belief in God feeds her spirit, while excerise keeps her body strong. She reads books that inspire and invigorate. She goes to the gym, walks her dogs, and she prays and she works. She said "my doctors can only take me 50% of the way and I must do the rest.
