Well.. my dogs don't hate anyone, they are very well socialized, social dogs.. But if the situation was right and they felt that it was the right thing to do, they would like bite. But.. I crate my dogs when I leave them, so that they are all safe and secure while I am gone. There have been alot of stories in the news lately where the burglar breaks in, kills the family dog or cat, and continues to burglarize the house anyhow.
So I figure if my dogs are crated and safe, and a burglar comes in, he isn't likely to try to kill the dogs I Love, because I already have them out of his way. He can have at my stuff, cause none of it means anything close to what the dogs mean to me..
Your dog should be socialized more if she hates strangers... It's only when the situation arises where it is necessary to protect your life where the dog should be thinking about biting someone...

My dog's would definately bite if a stranger broke in my house--(Dobie's)--it is what they are bred to do--(protect)--if the burgular could make it through the yard first! I live way out in the country and my husband works night's! If anyone come's up to the house my dog's alert and if I go outside they are OK with whoever is there--if it is OK with me--They have a very good sense of --(good & bad)--in people--and I always trust them if I don't know the person!! I have never crated my dog's--they are either out in my huge yard or in the house! P.S.--if they thought someone was threatning me--they would do more than bite--it would be really bad--I have 5 grown Dobies!!!

My min-pin/chihuahua would definitely NOT bite the burglar. He'd probalby wiggle a lot, jump on him, wiggle some more, pee on the floor, wiggle some more, roll over to have his belly rubbed, wiggle some more, lick him in the mouth, wiggle some more, pee on the floor again, wiggle some more, and then start running laps around the house.
When the burglar started to leave, Rosco would probalby run and jump in the car with him, ready to "go for a ride!"

My dog will bite if the guy has food and it will bark waging its tail when the person cames and I will wake up because I am a very light sleeper. Everything works out for me. (^o^)

Well, I know for sure that my malinois would eat someone's *** if they came in the house. The Fila that I had would probably kill someone. My shepherd will bite as well. My lab is a toss up. It depends on her mood, but, I would not bet against her not biting.

My dogs always bark at night when someone is coming through the front door. Even at my husband since he works late at night. But as soon as hey realize its him they get all excited. so I was wondering about that myself. Would they freak out if they saw someone they didnt know and attack or just bark and then want attention if the person was nice to them?? I do make sure they are inside the house when we know the meter man is coming! LOL just in case.

My dog would definitely bite a stranger. She has tried it, before, and I have stopped her "mid - lunge."
But she is sweet as a lamb with me and those I trust. She's a great dog.

My dog would bark bark and bark .. and then probably wag his tail to get you to pet him. But once a stranger pets him he'll bite.

My Peke would probably bite, my Pit Bull would probably bark at first, and then start giving the burgalur kisses, and my new puppy would probably roll over to have her belly scratched.
