Of course not. Nor fairies, nor Santa, nor sprites, goblins, djinns, ghosts, demons, familiars, cherubim, seraphim, the Evil Eye, astral projection, crystal magic powers, telepathy, telekinesis, souls, spirits, elves, pixies or any number of other supersitious ideas.

No - believing in either aspect presupposes believing in the whole backstory of creation, the Fall, temptation, sin etc. Atheists don't believe any of that. Of course, there are plenty of religious people in other faiths who don't believe in Satan either. Perhaps the weirdest thing of course is that Satanists don't in fact believe in Satan, just in the power of self-determination and action, independent of any externally imposed moral structure. So it's just a little paradoxical that the greatest believers in Satan, the ultimate incarnation of evil, are extremist Christians who claim to see his handiwork everywhere...

I believe in God. But I do not believe in Satan. The Satan is among human beings only, not beyond.

No, I do not believe in a 'satan' either. Both are non-existant.

If I don't believe in god I don't believe in satan either. The idea that atheists do believe in satan is a self-serving myth that so many defensive (and ignorant) religious people perpetrate. It stems from the false dichotomy of the "if they're not with us they're against us" argument.

Thats insane... why would a person not believe in god but believe in Satan? For one thing, you have to be Christian to believe in Satan because thats the ONLY religion where Satan exists. For another, to be Christian, you have to believe in the Christian god.

Have you been smoking something?

If a person doesn't believe in god, they won't believe in Satan either.

Of course I don't believe in Satan either.

What does being unable to see them have to do with it?

No! What reason would there be to believe in satan if I don't believe in god? They both come from the same book of fairy tales.

No. Atheists don't believe in God or Satan. You won't believe how often this question gets asked.

It's one thing not to believe in God, but only a fool would not believe in the devil.

I'm amazed how much use I get out of that quip here after not hearing it for 25 years!
