it is very hard to deal with someone suffering from alzheimer's mostly because you tend to lose your patience. both my grandfathers suffered from alzheimer's and it was very difficult to communicate with them as the disease progressed. i tried my best to help them as much as i possibly could but it was very hard on me. men especially are so stubborn they don't want to admit they are losing their memory. you just need to try and bring up things from their past, childhood perhaps because that's the things they mostly remember, nothing that happened a week or so ago.

If they don't remember something just keep telling them and keep asking questions even if they don't remember it just makes them feel good. Make sure that he takes his pills and just be patient.
