To go to Vatican City, you do not pay. It is similar to our Washington DC. However, as many have pointed out, it does cost to enter the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. 13 euro. Since the value of the US dollar to the euro is constantly changing visit this site ... www.xe.com to see the exchange rate.
As far as the city itself, it isn't up for sale and most likely never will be.

You dont pay to go in to the Vatican though technicaly the Vatican is its own country.

Its alos rich enough to buy Italy....you can keep your cash.

It does not cost anything to enter the city, however as someone else stated it does cost 13 euro to enter the museum.

I don't think the Pope is selling Vatican City, but you could ask at the information desk.

to get into the museum was like about 30 euros so thats like 45 bucks American
