Do not pay attention to the first answer ... that is totally incorrect. That is a common phrase used in Spanish to say that "Honey, I want to be with you" usually intimate. Others can say instead of "I miss you". If I translate it literally it will say..."Mother I am hungry of you" Of course "Mami" in Spanish is not only used to our mothers... our boys usually call us "mami" like dear or honey in English.

Tengo Ganas means you have the urge of doing something. For example: Tengo ganas de comer, means I feel like eating. Hope that helps. =)
