I started school in jan. but no im having second thoughts. First i have no family support and my mom just passed away and i have this new apartment with bills up to my neck. I have talents and skills in the field i was going to school for which is Video Production but i dont have the equipment to get work with. Im starting to think that pulling out of school and getting the reimbursement check is worth trying and just buying the equipment i need with it. Please help me?.....!

i'm sorry about your mom dying. GOD bless.

your living a hard life. try doing a normal job for a few years to bring up some money, and then go back to school, and get a simple job. i'm not an expert on these things, but good luck!

Are you able to finish the current term? That's better than walking away because that reimbursement check may end up being lost or pro-rated if you do. It's not easy to concentrate after losing a parent either, but talk to your instructors and if the school has a counselor take advantage of that person for advice.

Staying in school will help you more than you know in your choice of fields, especially if you can get a coop position as part of your education.

Was your mother your only parent? Was she employed? If she has passed away the financial aid office may be able to re-evaluate your situation and offer you additional funds to help you with your living expenses. They can take her income out of consideration, and if she was your sole parent, this is one of the few instances where your dependency status can be changed after the fact which may make you more eligible.

Don't leave school without talking to someone there who can help you first, please.
