I'm Roman Catholic. To join the Church, most people go through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program. It lasts several months and usually consists of weekly groups in which the participants learn more about the Church.
Then the catechumens go through the rites of Baptism (if they were not validly baptised in another denomination), Confirmation, and First Communion.
I converted to Catholicism when I was in college, so my memories of some things are a little hazy. But I do remember enjoying the classes and the various stages in becoming a member of the Church.

Pagan. I did a lot of research and found what matched my personal beliefs. I use the general term "Pagan" because I don't really belong to any specific path within it, but my beliefs are similar to the basics. Though I do enjoy the stories from the Celts. =) Even in ancient Paganism, one will find they taught their people to be Honorable, Honest, have Self-Respect as well as Respect for all life (even when we disagree), allowed to have Confidence in oneself... I believe there is a lot to be learned about the ancient religions. Sad thing is, we really don't know a whole lot about them. Most of the info we do have, we guess at it's true meaning. But those attributes I listed are found in all of their writings, as well as those people that kept to those old religions.
But, I don't know how to tell another person to convert to Paganism. What I find helpful, you may find foolish. =)

I am Christian/Catholic.
I converted to Catholicism from the Protestant religion Methodist.
To become Catholic, you need to attend RCIA. This is the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. It take several months and gives you a chance to ask questions and learn about the faith.
Once you decide to become Catholic, you are usually brought into the Church at Easter Vigil. There is a ceremony and profession of faith. You are blessed by the priests and receive Eucharist for the first time.
Then the real journey begins as you grow in Christ and learn the true meaning of the sacraments. This has been the greatest part of my life.

Aside from building a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a potential convert should take the prerequisite lessons from the missionaries and then arrange for a baptism, provided all qualifications have been met.

Pantheist-personal phylosophical identification of my own intuitions and experiences.
Zen Buddhist-took vows in a Zen Buddhist Temple after two years of study and practice. have managed to keep most of those vows.
Piercing Sundancer-told by elder I would dance, made vow, prepared through fasts and sweat lodges run by elder, recieved pipe and danced four years with preperations every year. Danced again at another Sundance three years. Pierced each year. Maintain my practice as a pipe carrier quietly. (You asked)
SGI Buddhist-joined organization after several months of practice, recieving my Gohonzon. faith, practice and study are requirements of SGI membership.
Neo-Pagan-unofilliated. Personal studies of my ancesstral religions and ongoing explorations. I honour my ancesters beliefs.
I do not believe in missionary or evangelical practices. This has been an issue for me in joining groups. As Sundancers we are not supposed to do that. In terms of Buddhism it is generally frowned on except for SGI's form of Buddhism which encourages conversion as well as dialogue.
I do not practice any form of conversion practices nor do I believe in them. I enjoy dialogue and have the mind of an Athiest in terms of religious organisations and my quest for truth. I am not a follower by nature or in practice.
I go to authentic teachers for my teachings. I do respect the explorations of others, I do read and go to lectures but I do not use as an example second hand information or make it up as I go along. I have my own gifts and intuitions and am always learning. This is one of the reasons I so enjoy R&S.
I am very careful to maintain the integrity of each practice and the teachings that I have been intrusted with. I honour all my teachers. The real deal!!!!!
Peace!

Um..... Pass.
Not really. I am a christian. I have done some research and the Bible has been proven form many different points. If one part is true and there is nothing against the other parts, then who am I to say they are wrong? It just seems the most likely in my opinion.
How do you got converting?

i am roman catholic. when someone feels god/holy spirit is calling them to the catholic church the person must go through a programme called the rite of christian initiation for adults(RCIA). this is a group who gather for classes. the classes provide information regarding the church and in particular the sacraments, which the person can only receive after the classes. one is in no obligation to finish the classes or to enter into the church once they begin the classes but are usually encouraged to.
