i mean when i was a child i believed in santa, now that im no longer a child i put my "childish ways" behind me.

will they ever put their childish ways behind them? believing in the great skydaddy who is almost identicle to the child's santa?

(they both have helpers - angels;elves
they both require you to be good to get what you want
coal burns, santa gives coal, and god actually sends u into a firey pit.
they are both supposedly loving people.
both are eagerly awaited their return by their believers
and neither exist)

grow up little sheeples.

Prove to me, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Santa or God don't exist? You can't. Just like I can't prove to you, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Santa or God does exist.

You've become more like that grumpy older individual that found out that something didn't exist and wants to ruin it for the rest of the younger generation that still believe!

If they want to believe, let them believe, is it hurting you? For some reason it seems like it is, since you have posted this question.

All I can say is that I am sorry that someone ruined the joy for you in a belief that makes you happy, to be left antagonistic and spiteful towards those that are still happy.

Or is it that you are trying to group the "extreme antagonists" of the Christian faith together with the Pure of Heart Christians? If that is the case, why don't we group the the "extreme antagonists" of ALL belief systems and leave the Pure of Hearts alone!

God Speed!

Hello Jif.. :)

This difference for me was, I used to believe in Santa as a child also..

Saint Nicholas Bishop of Myra, Defender of Orthodoxy, Wonderworker, Holy Hierarchas Born 3rd century, Patara, Lycia Died 6 December 343, Myra, Lycia The American Santa Claus, as well as the Anglo-Canadian and British Father Christmas, derive from this icon, the name 'Santa Claus' being a degeneration of the Dutch word Sinterklaas.

==============================================

As a child..I did not believe in any God (Atheist)..It was only when I became an adult (28) I asked Jesus into my heart.. :)

I know that you believe Jesus (God) does not exist and you definitely have that right..

But I believe and know He does, because He first Loved me.. :)

The Parable of the Sheepfold

1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him; for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 This parable spake Jesus unto them; but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

Jesus the Good Shepherd

7 ¶ Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

1 Corinthians

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, Love, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.

I have heard a couple obnoxious atheists as yourself claim that it is just as ridiculous to believe in God as Santa. Not believing in Santa is logical because you realize there is a better answer to the mystery of the presents. HOwever there isn't a good answer to why the Big Bang happened, why we have consciousness, how the universe was established since matter cannot be created or destroyed by natural forces. We are not unthinking sheep as you believe.

Tylr:

The thing is, considering the Government never really seperated from Church...it DOES hurt non believers. They changed the pledge of the flag to include Under God, it wasn't always like that.

It's on statues, on our currency, and they're even trying in Texas now to make a biblical textbook to teach about the Bible in public high schools.

*shrugs* With these many people in the world, we're all bound to bump into each other from time to time, and might not always come away from the experience with a nice taste in our mouth.

Your comments are crystalline proof that christendom has failed her responsibility.
Its all just a fairytale to you.
How christendom has failed!

BTW Its odd I can say that (as I often have before) but not a much more innocent thought without getting censored.
It wasn't even a comment, it was an innocent question.
Big brother is here.

A wise man once said that if Christianity were not truly from God it would die away. Time magazine declared decades ago "God is dead. Yet contrary to human wisdom the church of Christ moves forward against all human wisdom and reason. Could it just be?

was this question designed to provoke and incite the Christians? Because, I am pretty sure if an atheist question was asked like this, there would be foaming at the mouth
