My Friend pointed out to me today that she doesnt believe in god she told me because if there was a god he would punish all the bad people and how would he create earth . She also said that how would someone like mary have a kid if she didnt have sex with god can you answer her questions . I mean i still velieve in god but she doesnt

The best thing you can do is continue to love your friend.
People grow. People change. Don't let your differences effect your friendship.
God created all things.
God can create life without the help of man and/or woman.
It's perfectly ok if your friend does not believe as you do. Jesus loves us all. It doesn't matter if we love him back.

Your friend is judging God based on what she can see and what she knows.
God is beyond our understanding. We have finite minds, we cannot comprehend something omnipotent and limitless. He is not bound by our time, our world or our rules. He is perfect love, mercy, compassion and judgement.
He can do anything...so yes, create the world, bring his son into our world through a virgin...he does not belong to our world and is not limited the way we are. The virgin birth is a miracle and a mystery...it is what we belive in faith.
God does punish the wicked...just not on our timetable. He will take care of all things in the end.

first of all, this world is Satan's world. Satan took over the earth and that's why God sent Jesus. God will punish Satan at the end of the world. also, bad people in human's eyes are different from bad people in God's eyes. Whosoever doesn't believe in God is bad people.
lastly, God created all of us, of course he can make Mary pregnant without having sex with Joseph... God is capable of everything. having doubts is from Satan. stop believing in Satan... or you'll be punished with Satan.

I don't think your friend is an authority on God's mind. Who is she to say that "god would punish all the bad people" Guess what people, God made the "bad people" too! This is not the superficial evangelical feel good God I'm talking about, I'm talking about the God of the Hebrews, who killed every first born son of the Egyptians. what makes little miss know it all think that that God would kill all the bad people, just to make a bunch of faithless, self-centered, shallow humans happy.
Also if God is God in any true sense of the term then the immaculate conception is a non-issue in consideration of the licklyhood of his existance.

Hi, your friend is thinking as only human beings can think and not as God does,He shows His infinite mercy to us even though we do not deserve it at all, God does not have sex with His creatures this is wrong thinking,God is omnipotent and all things are possible for Him and He who is the author of all life can give life in ways that we cannot hope to fathom.

You'll get lots of answers explaining all of this to you Vanessa, but here's a question for YOU. Why do you believe? Is it because this is the way your parents taught you and because this is what they teach you in church? Those aren't reasons. You need to read LOTS of books, not just the bible or the books other people tell you to read. You need to experience the world and make up your OWN mind about what you believe and why you believe it. Ignore what your parents, friends, church tell you and learn about the world with your OWN brain. That's why you have one.
