Hi Bells

There are several shocks that are sold in different sizes. Kona doesn't have that info on the site. I don't know which changes the Stinky has gone since '03.

There are two different measures that you need to find. One is what's called eye to eye (or i2i). It's the distance between the two slots at the extreme. Another is the strock length, which is the distance that the shock actually moves. You could have, for example, a 7.85" i2i shock with a 2" stroke.

I would suggest you to go to forums.mtbr.com, where they have a Kona forum and ask that question, I guess you'll find more information on it.

Also, it depends on how much you want to spend.

Fox has some very good shocks (actually, it's an air shock what you're asking), basically they have in air the Float (which is the 'standard' shock), then the RP23, which is the Float which you can adjust the level of how plush you want it), and then is the DHX Air, which is a freeride/downhill shock.

Rock Shock is starting to come out with good ones, but I don't know much about them.

Marzocchi has the Rocco Air, which I would think it's a good one, but I've never seen a review, just going by company reputation.

Manitou also has some good ones.

It would also be important on how much budget you want to spend on it.
